Trading for Kanter would be a major mistake. I think a team like Atlanta, or one that is devoid of production players at the moment should look at that as a possibility. OKC might have to add some value with him.

I think Jared Dudley would be an acceptable addition if the Suns are willing to give him up fo cap space. It sounds like the Suns are aiming to do just that.

The Suns have officially announced that they are looking to do the same as us - use the cap for teams to dump salary and get picks. At the same time also looking to unload their vets for picks or young assets.

The Suns and Kings are poor trading partners right now unless they are willing to send someone like Knight for nothing but us taking him on.

All apologies. I wasn't sure where to post this, but this seemed like a good place.

I posted a trade idea on T&T with a poll for your consideration:

You would have to be sending an unprotected 2019 first to get us to eat a totally useless McBob. He is truly dead money and clogs space for guys that can actually be useful to us in a similar deal. I imagine the other two teams will give you a similar answer.

On a good news front, I introduced the Knight for space idea on a PHX trade thread and received a resounding yes.

An unprotected 1st for 1.?mil of McRoberts salary for one yr. :nonono:

I think some are getting alittle crazy with the pick greed that is developing over here.

Yeah I think some of us have pick greed. When you look at what Vlade done when he declined Tolliver's deal many around here said it was because of either cap space during FA to take on salary for assets/give contracts out OR the line was we just didn't have a roster spot for him heading into FA.
Now the big plan was to do all that to pick up a 2020 2nd and 4 mil?
I mean if there was a roster spot left and some salary cap at the end of FA and Vlade had exhausted all other avenues then maybe, but why would we really do that?
As OGSactownballer said he is dead money and clogs space. His expiring could end up being ok at the deadline yes, but I think we can find a better deal out there.

And I said that I would wait til the end of FA to do it. And the roster spot wouldn't be an issue if we choose to do the deal because we choose to do the deal meaning there is room or we can use him(I know it's doubtful but crazier things have happened) or we can cut him(stretch or not). Either way it's still tipped in our favor because we are basically getting a 2nd rd pick and a possible pick swap for 1.5mil. The Dubs just spent 3.5mil on a second this year.

Just saw this over on the Wizards board

viewtopic.php?f=35&t=1382170&p=57022427#p57022427

And to those wondering; have intimate knowledge of Porter's skill. He has very high character and is a very hard worker; never complains, just plays hard. I have watched him improve each season from his first day in college. You've only seen half of what Otto can do with the Wizards. You already know he can play defense and is a great 3 pt shooter (wasn't when he entered the league) but Otto can handle, get his own shot, has an accomplished mid range game which he entered the league with, he can rebound, block shots and make steals. The only thing I can criticize him about is sometimes he can be a little passive. Since, I am also a Wizards fan and a Hoya fan; I am torn but he would be excellent for the Kings.

CJ Miles if the Wizards match Otto imo is a viable temporary option for starting SF.

I'd like Jonathan Simmons

Crowder for Papagiannis? Sucks to give him up but he fills a need for Boston and Crowder is a starter in Sac for at least 3 years

I don't think any Kings fan would do Skal for Crowder right now (Skal killed it at the end of the season, we're excited to watch his development), but Crowder certainly seems like an ideal target for the Kings.

Is Papagiannis any good? Can he rebound?

I've been thinking about this for for a bit. And yeah I guess I'd have to do it and then hope I can get Olynyk signed. Like you said tho, I don't like trading any of the young 1st rders before we develop them.

Papa sets good screens, has a mid range jumper, a jump hook, big body in the key that forces you to block out or gets in the way while he is on defense.

His rebounding seems decent, having noticed anything noteworthy with it yet, good or bad.

He needs some time to put it all together.

He looks like he could be a really skilled big man. At 7'2 he moves well. Still young just 20 years old. I think he will become a strong rebounder.
