The Kings tends to overlook a (weak) opponent such as the Mavs and lose.
In theory, the Kings should beat the Mavs and Cousins should have a BIG BIG game today but I don't know if I'm willing to bet on it, though.

With Bogut out, Cousins should drop 40 on these guys. I was looking ahead on the schedule and by the end of 2016, I would hope we can get to 16-18 so finishing out the year 9-5 and it starts tonight. Need to pick up this eas(ier) win.

Perfect sort of game to lose all hope for the season tonight.

Joerger must hate Temple.

Joerger is playing a lineup: Collison-Temple-Gay-Casspi-Cousins

Joerger is a good 3rd quarter coach.

Even up 24 I'm not enjoying this team. I might need a break.

It's hard to enjoy a team that looks different from night to night, I mean literally, players banished from the rotation seem to find their way back in. There's no stability there. Vlade needs to help his coach out a bit and clear some of that awkwardness out.
I will say it is nice to see Willie settling down the last few games. He's starting to do the things that will help this team like playing well in pick and roll on both ends. He's been showing his abilities as a show out and switch defender lately.

Man you guys are a tough crowd

Lol
It's nice to see us finish the road trip out with a solid all around effort against a bad basketball team. We took care of what we needed to.
This team has improved leaps and bounds. The small details. Theyre much more disciplined and patient in their sets. Still room for improvement there, but our best players have done a better job of waitng for the defense to shift and breakdown before attacking. In turn, our patience has significantly helped our defense. Still need to clean up the transition run outs and guard the 3pt line.
Guys know their role and the team is in the midst of establishing an identity for the first time in 10 years. We have our top 7 and the guys he trusts in just his first year. (DC, Temple, Gay, KK, DMC, Lawson, Barnes). He's rightfully searching for 2 or 3 more guys of AA, Ben, WCS, Casspi to seal the rotation. Personally I'd like us to just start Temple and move on. The KK and DMC front court can get frustrating to watch at times, but until they get the right player to fit next to Cousins I don't see that changing. I don't think anyone has acknowledged some of the perks of KK in the line up. The most critical being it slides DMC on to an easier defensive assignment. Cousins has not proven he can guard a legitimate threat and do so without picking up two quick fouls.
Transformation doesn't happen overnight. This team is so much better than any product we've had on the floor in years (yes including Malone's 20 game sample). But you guys are complaining about the team being hard to watch in a 30 point victory? Lol. Bench dynamics are better and the culture is shifting. It was a great game! Get over yourselves

You always have to take what the team is doing itself as the greatest indicator of what is considered "improvement". I can tell you, they are still running the same defensive sets combined with a lack of effort (with the exception of a few notables) that may work well against a glorified D-league version of the Mavs, but it will get you the same results it's gotten this team team for the first 20 some odd games in the season thus far. And no, transformation doesn't happen overnight but some of the same ideological miscues that got the team where it is now are still very much in play. The Kings have had a tough schedule and it's going to ease up a bit in the next grouping of games so this is it, if they can't make headway now it's unlikely to come. It's very possible to turn it around, but it's on everybody.
As for the two C lineup, it's really not even about Koufos. He's been having a solid year, it's when the opposing coach realizes if they make two swing passes out of pick and roll you get an open 3 all night long. Hoping the opposing squad misses open 3's to start the game isn't a winning mentality. The Kings are starting to show more cohesion offensively and in reality that's probably how they are going to have to fight their way out of this. Also, it's not Koufos' offensive abilities or lack there of that is an issue. It's the spacing. Cousins and Gay are then required to hit their jumpers because the lanes are closed more often than not. Not how I'd start the game if I were the coach but Gay and Cuz have been semi consistent at least so as long as that continues it's not terrible.
Just because the product is better don't allow a game possibly being played at a higher difficulty level than necessary be acceptable. Also, some have higher expectations for this team than others and I'd bet that Joerger himself is leading that charge.
