Any word on why he didn't choose to wear his previous jersey number?

Didn't he say that or were you just being unnecessarily sarcastic...

I think it's more likely that Tyreke has completely forgotten about Cisco. See:

He can help plenty of teams. Plus with Malachi here and Bogdanovic (assuming he comes over), I just don't see it as benefiting anyone moving forward. That would mean Evans at PG and the Kings already tried that one out 2 knee surgeries ago. Temple is here long term to fill the leadership/extra ball handler role. Buddy, Malachi, Bogdanovic, and Temple is more than enough considering the Kings will have to draft or sign a real SF. That's been easily the biggest weakness since the trade.

None of those guys imo are ball handlers, they can dribble a ball over halfcourt but none of them (maybe Bogdanovic can but I doubt it) can breakdown a defense on a regular basis like Tyreke. As long as we get a ball handler who can breakdown the D at will (I don't think Collison can either although he's better than all those other guys listed) than yeah don't bring Reke back but if we don't than you should look to bring him back as a 6th man imo.
I would really like to sign Jeff Teague to like a 3-4 year deal if we don't draft a stud PG in that case we should let Tyreke go. If we are looking for a SF to sign/trade for than look maybe at Wilson Chandler he's been unhappy in his role in Denver for sometime I'm sure they will be looking to move him to free up playing time for Hernan-gomez next year.
The real exciting part of the Cousins trade it now allows for a lot of possibilities in terms of building and who we can try bring in and not having to worry about all the extra crap.

That's why I prefaced Reke playing SG/SF vs. PG. If he were to play and not crunch the others out it would be at PG which I'm not sure that's the best fit for young budding players.
Bogdanovic would be an extra ball handler. He's similar and he can get to the rim and make plays for others. I think more emphasis will be placed on pick and roll and motion vs. guard creation at the rim anyway.

All that is true but Bogdan and any rookie PG we bring in are gonna have a learning curve and adjustment time. It wouldn't be smart to go into the year without another guy like Reke who has experience running an offense and has the skills that I mentioned before to lean on, plus to have in case of injury.

Yes, but once again, here are the Kings "young" pieces ages next year: Buddy Hield - 24 yo, Willie Cauley-Stein - 24 yo, Bogdan Bogdanovic - 25 yo. We don't need to go in circles but it's the same thing, if you're going to lose anyway I say get the experience while you can before it's too late a la Ben McLemore. The fact is contractually you're already about a year behind, and age wise you're probably 2-3 years behind. If these players aren't well on their way to developed by next year then expectations must be lowered and contingencies must be assessed.
I'm sure they'll come into next season with someone that has experience. Personally I wouldn't mind Collison being back, I think he fits the squad at PG in Joergers offense more than Reke does. Reke is a solo scorer, not a real system guy.
