Any word on why he didn't choose to wear his previous jersey number?

I thought 32 was a nod to Francisco Garcia. Just a hunch.

I think it's more likely that Tyreke has completely forgotten about Cisco. See:

After the season do you plan on resigning him?

If he's willing to accept a 6th man/bench role, I say "why not?" As long as it doesn't cost us too much to retain him.

Yup, Can score, pass and defend. Has size to defend 3 positions. Can hand the ball and run the offense and get to the rim. Wouldn't be mad at having him on the roster while our young guards learn. I think we'll draft a PG but he won't be ready to fully take over for atleast a year, maybe 2. Gonna need ball handlers and second unit scoring in the mean time.

The Kings will have to spend some serious money if they don't guarantee the full deals on Afflalo and Tolliver, but I'd be more than surprised if Evans came back. He can help plenty of teams. Plus with Malachi here and Bogdanovic (assuming he comes over), I just don't see it as benefiting anyone moving forward. That would mean Evans at PG and the Kings already tried that one out 2 knee surgeries ago. Temple is here long term to fill the leadership/extra ball handler role. Buddy, Malachi, Bogdanovic, and Temple is more than enough considering the Kings will have to draft or sign a real SF. That's been easily the biggest weakness since the trade.

None of those guys imo are ball handlers, they can dribble a ball over halfcourt but none of them (maybe Bogdanovic can but I doubt it) can breakdown a defense on a regular basis like Tyreke. As long as we get a ball handler who can breakdown the D at will (I don't think Collison can either although he's better than all those other guys listed) than yeah don't bring Reke back but if we don't than you should look to bring him back as a 6th man imo.

I would really like to sign Jeff Teague to like a 3-4 year deal if we don't draft a stud PG in that case we should let Tyreke go. If we are looking for a SF to sign/trade for than look maybe at Wilson Chandler he's been unhappy in his role in Denver for sometime I'm sure they will be looking to move him to free up playing time for Hernan-gomez next year.

The real exciting part of the Cousins trade it now allows for a lot of possibilities in terms of building and who we can try bring in and not having to worry about all the extra crap.

That's why I prefaced Reke playing SG/SF vs. PG. If he were to play and not crunch the others out it would be at PG which I'm not sure that's the best fit for young budding players.

Bogdanovic would be an extra ball handler. He's similar and he can get to the rim and make plays for others. I think more emphasis will be placed on pick and roll and motion vs. guard creation at the rim anyway.

All that is true but Bogdan and any rookie PG we bring in are gonna have a learning curve and adjustment time. It wouldn't be smart to go into the year without another guy like Reke who has experience running an offense and has the skills that I mentioned before to lean on, plus to have in case of injury.

Yes, but once again, here are the Kings "young" pieces ages next year: Buddy Hield - 24 yo, Willie Cauley-Stein - 24 yo, Bogdan Bogdanovic - 25 yo. We don't need to go in circles but it's the same thing, if you're going to lose anyway I say get the experience while you can before it's too late a la Ben McLemore. The fact is contractually you're already about a year behind, and age wise you're probably 2-3 years behind. If these players aren't well on their way to developed by next year then expectations must be lowered and contingencies must be assessed.

I'm sure they'll come into next season with someone that has experience. Personally I wouldn't mind Collison being back, I think he fits the squad at PG in Joergers offense more than Reke does. Reke is a solo scorer, not a real system guy.

I think Collison is gone. Fresh start.

Reke may not be a traditional PG but he fits alot of holes a young team would have, super versatile. Not confident he is back either but would like him as a bench guy that can come in and start at 3 different positions if needed.

I would be cautious with Reke. If you can get him below market value for $10M or below per year for less than 4 years, it may be worth a look. That being said, I wouldn't invest any major money in a guy who isn't a great long range shooter (career .294 3P%) and who doesn't get to the basket as much anymore (sub 4 FT attempts per game the last three years).

The real exciting part of the Cousins trade it now allows for a lot of possibilities in terms of building and who we can try bring in and not having to worry about all the extra crap.

1st and foremost I don't think we have any chance at signing Teague. We couldn't get a player of his caliber when we had Cousins, barring an extreme overpay I don't think we could get him now.

2nd these moves seem very shortsighted, bringing in Teague and Wilson chandler? Teague will be 29 this summer, Chandler will be 30. I could think of much better ways to use our assets.

I think the idea is that if hield was a bit better at handling the ball/passing he could easily get to the hole, he already does now just has serious problems when forced to pass. We haven't really seen what malachi is capable of because in his short stint when he looked really good, he was mostly used as a shooter. I assume whatever pg we bring in in the draft should have that ability as well. Then Bogdan is likely going to be able to drive to the rim.

I don't necessarily mind resigning tyreke, but I'm really not a huge fan of his plays style. He's a bit of a ball hog and while he has flashes of brilliance he also makes some really bone head turnovers. Not to mention he comes with serious injury concerns. Either way it seems like he's playing for his next contract with another team.

Simple and plain if the team doesn't think 1 of buddy/malachi/bogdan can fill this role you're talking about, then there's absolutely no reason to have all 3 on the roster. At that point we should move Bogdan before signing him and look to go after a 3 whose younger and can handle better.

That is one thing that no one has really addressed. IMO in his interview Vlade alluded to potential that we could use our "assests" to build the team and culture we want. Talked about getting a look at assets Skal, WCS, Papa and Malachi. Mentioned having Bodgan coming over as another "asset". Only didn't mention Hield in that light. Interesting choice of words. Didn't say building blocks or young core.

I think that in conjunction with our picks, we could use some vets and/or young guys to further shape the roster after we get a better sense of what we have and need.
