If there was no MUST lose game this season, then this is the game we have to lose, it can help our pick and obviously our Pelicans pick.

John Willion created the thread. You're good.
The Mavs battalion will be without a few soldiers - Matthews(rest). Dirk/Curry (injury - legit injuries). It will all come down to whether Barnes lines up or not (he was also possibly being rested... but hasn't been listed as out, so I assume he plays). Without him, the Mavs would have no scorers. Assuming he plays, the Mavs are likely slight favorites for the game.
The NBA is bizarro world. Fans have to be here hoping their coaches don't coach "as hard" as they normally would and manage the minutes of some players so the chances of losing increases. You can't even properly enjoy an 18 point comeback.
It's a very thin line between just blindly wanting the most ping pong balls possible, while at the same time neglecting the team environment and culture. If these guys win some games by playing together as a team and young guys contributing then that's a positive sign about what the franchise is doing... which is better than if the team was a complete dumpster fire and you'd get a slightly better draft position. Long story short - the Kings need to nail these next two drafts, wherever they end up picking.

Since the Cousins trade this has been a topic of conversation on the Kings board. Luckily, the Kings are playing hard and remain competitive even in losses so I'm confident in rooting for the L because I know the important teachings and the culture building is taking place. Credit guys like Garrett Temple, Anthony Tolliver, and Kosta Koufos for embracing their new roles to bring the young guys along.

Because I made a game thread not Ducler, who bringed us 3 W.
One of the reasons I hope we win tonight is so this nonsense can be over.

You really think the Mavs are favorites without Matthews, Dirk and Seth and maybe Barnes?

The whole point in having free will is you CAN help yourself.

It's a discussion that happens everywhere with every fanbase in this position. Fans get extremely emotional over any win at this stage of the year. But at the same time, everyone should realise they can't rationally want their team to play to lose. As long as wins are a result of organic growth with young players contributing you have to find a way to accept it and not be fully depressed.

Without Barnes I would be very surprised if the Mavs won. It's not like I think Barnes is this super player, but he is the only legit scorer left. If you remove him, you're heading into the unknown. The Mavs have a few undrafted guys.
He has not missed a game this year. Without him, it would probably be too many changes. If the Mavs play Barnes. Play Noel 30 minutes. They'll have a solid platform for those other players to lean on and have a decent shot at winning.
These games are impossible to call though. Never know if coaches will actually manage minutes and what they will do with their rotations.
