Pretty good news.

But that means, the SF position is wide open.

I am happy about this.

I wonder what team he goes to? This for sure signifies no doubt that the youth movement must go on unobstructed from here.

That is what I thought would happen. We are setting up the young group to take the leadership roles with the team. But I still think a few key vets will play roles and get minutes.

For Rudy, I hope he goes to a playoff team like Bos or ATL. Want him to do well.

We may be looking at a 20 win season next year but for the 2-5 year horizon it's the best way. He does not fit the structure and players we have and are trying to develop

I would hope they wouldn't spend the money and take the time to actually develop their young players.

Assuming Gay and Galloway are going to opt out you have:


You pray that we can grab either Isaac or Tatum in the draft and then Ntilikina.

Then you trade either Tolliver or Koufos for a wing.

You will still need to add players on short (hopefully one year) contracts to get to the minimum or you don't and then during the season you take on trash contracts plus draft picks (like Philly did).

We also own our pick with no strings attached next year.

So bring on some bad loot in trades if the incentive is all right.

Funny thing about Rudy, me personally, didn't appreciate his game when he was here if he opts out. Watching the playoffs though, I said more then a few times that the team I was watching could use a guy like Rudy. I hope he does well and I could see him thriving with us if he comes back and he's healthy.

Not really any news to me . I said he was opting out months ago .
