You didn't list OG in the poll...

Edited, but I'm afraid it wiped out the vote that was there.

This is a tough spot for the Kings. On one hand, Collins is really hard to pass on but they have a ton of young front court talent (Skal, WCS, Papa, Koufos). Unless you absolutely love Collins, I think you have to take a swing for the fences with Anunoby or Jackson.

Yea. I think you take Anunoby or Jackson or try to figure out a situation to trade down and nab one of them a bit later in the draft while accumulating some other assets. Saw someone else mention a trade with POR #10 for #15 and some other later picks. That would be nice if we knew that one of those guys were available at 15.
As for the poll I went with Jackson since trading down isn't an option

I am going with Jarrett Allen. I think he can be a starting Center in the league.

I think Markkanen is BPA but I probably go with OG for need. I hope in this scenario Vlade explores trading down.

I can't vote on my phone...but I go Markannen. The trade down would be the way to go though to grab one of the SFs.

Uh, personally I like Leaf and OG but I just can't see how you don't go BPA and take Markkanen since you landed Fox at 5 instead of a SF that would see time at PF as well. If you lose value on Markkanen with a lack of immediate consistent role so be it. You tell Skal to start lifting hardcore so he can hopefully cover some mins at C to make it work.

At this point, you take BPA -- which is either Markkanen or Collins.
I go even further and I'm willing to dangle those players at teams in hopes of pulling off a deal that brings back additional assets.

Maybe give Portland a call? They have a bunch of picks, the only problem is the Kings are starting to overload the boat with young talent already so back to back drafts with 3-4 players coming in would probably drive Joerger to quit on the first day of practice.

I would do that. Let's see what Portland is willing to offer. If they said that they are willing to give us their #15/#20/#26 in exchange for the #10 and eating one of their huge contracts, I would highly consider it. I think of this draft as nabbing as much picks/assets as we can. Knowing that we have no picks in the 2019 draft, might as well collect picks to compensate the lack of said pick in '19.

Back to the 'Por trade for the 10th' theme.
This board is so tired at the moment.

Dude.
Who cares?
If you don't want to see this "retread" you gotta wait after the draft is over before you see the "non-retread" content. There is a about a month to go.
What I don't want to see that you keep replying the similar fashion with the last several posts you have made.

OK, getting this thread back on track here's something to debate. Should the Kings be considering Semi Ojeleye with the 10th pick? I've been watching more and more video and finding it harder and harder to see how he shouldn't be in the discussion at 10 if the Kings selected a PG at 5. He's one of those, "How did he fall so far?" types so why not consideration at 10 then?

That's the biggest stretch I've heard of yet. He's 38th on my big board. I wouldn't be mad if they got him with the 34th, but at 10 they would have to be on some major crack to take him.

I'd happily take Markkanen with #10 in this scenario.

It's a difficult choice between Markkanen and Zach Collins for me. I'd be happy with either. I think Zach Collins can fit well alongside any of our bigs. He can shoot, has a high bbiq, can defend well in nearly any situation. Markkanen is special with his shooting and fluidity and I really like him, but I give Zach Collins the slight edge because of his all-around game and good defense that would fit Joerger's system well. I go back and forth between these two, but I wouldn't reach for a small forward that just isn't on their same level. There are great small forwards in next year's draft and we are years off from being a really good team, so it's not an emergency. Besides, if we miss out on a SF, we'll have more minutes for Bogdanovic and Malachi at the 3 and the option to go after young players like Andre Roberson and Otto Porter in free agency.
