Haha I hadn't even read this when I posted adding AA to the potential Laker deal instead but it works haha. To bad cuz I like Gallo's game and I doubt he gets 5mil on the market next year. Oh well.

His QO is more than his normal 2017 salary. So he either gets a raise or becomes a FA.

Don't like his game, happy hes leaving. Hope he lands in Cleveland or somewhere he can impact off the bench with instant offense

Yeah, it has to be one of two things. He knows already that another team will want him, or the Kings told him if he opted out they'll pick up his QO. If not, it makes almost no sense on his part.
