Re: Welcome Harry Giles!
All the talk was that Giles was looking healthy in his workouts - I think this was a very smart swing at 20. He was actually high on my board for the Bulls at 16.
I think the pressure will be off of him, being the 3rd 1st rounder you guys took, and behind a tonne of guys in the back-court, so he'll come along slowly but surely. The upside is extremely high.

This is exactly the kind of player you look at when you have 3 picks in the 1st round.

Yep. And it's the exact type of team for a player like him to land on. Like GimmeDat said, the pressure is off. Well, at least any excessive pressure that is.

Yeah good point.
For me, even if Giles doesn't work out I think this is a good pick. I like the mentality of our FO taking chances with later 1st rnd picks.

If he can get back to this (at 2:55) mobility, feel, and confidence by his 2nd year....watch out.

Yup said he is 100% healthy in his presser today.

Hopefully he doesn't play with a fear of re injuring himself.

Gotta say I LOVE the Harry Giles pick. He wasn't just another highly touted HS prospect, he was a generational type of talent before the injuries. Because he's so young and because he's so skilled with the ball in his hands. With his size, I think Vlade and team may have hit a home run.

That may happen if all anyone ever asks him or the first think that is always brought up is the injury.

I didn't know much of him or researched him prior to us drafting him, however this is what I can see. I would much rather have a FO that goes for a pick like this, particularly being 3rd in the 1st round than go a safe pick.
And I think 90% of fans would as well instead of going the safe route.
