Just a side note but I better here Grant blast the kings for resting players. The dude is always ranting about big minure players getting rest but I bet he wont light in to his team.

With that said I'm excited to see the young guys take over the starting line up. Well overdue.

And by the looks of it they need the experience together. Dave Joerger created a situation where the Kings are having their second game 1 of the year.

Papa looking like garbage in garbage time. 2 years away from being competitive.

Haha, listening to Dave Joergers comments leave me a bit worried. He said that he doesn't believe doing "this" every night is how you build a young team, he believes in competing for minutes. To an extent that's good, but acting as if entitlement isn't a major aspect of pro ball is just delusional. The process of rebuilding through youth has worked for almost every team in basketball over the course of time. Sometimes coaches can't have their cake and eat it too. Yeah, it would be nice to win games while the young players sit and watch a great veteran team but that's not the situation here. Rarely do teams draft their teams from top to bottom, a good part of overplaying young players is to build trade value to get what you need. Pretty young players in suits don't do much for you on the open market.

For the first time since the appointment, I am beginning to wonder if we have the right head coach for the 2-3 year task at hand.

Might I add, we’re not the San Antonio Spurs or Golden State Warriors. Young guys fighting for minutes works if the franchise actually has a shot at being competitive. I’m not too sure that’s us even with our veterans. Yet, those aforementioned franchises both got better mostly through player development.

There are guys personally I’m okay with sitting and watching. I think the key first and second year guys are obviously Fox, Skal, Bogi, and Buddy. As long as those guys are playing significant minutes this year okay. With our current makeup its either Bogi or Buddy getting big minutes. Especially if Fox plays off the ball with Hill.

Its almost as if Joerger purposely ran this young line up against the Wiz to say "I told you so" to everyone who questioned his line ups. Damn.

I really hope not, but it almost comes across that way. The way he made that comment was as if he was definitely saying "I told you so" to somebody. If that's the case he's going to lose the confidence of his young guys. I do think Joerger knows what he's doing so we'll see how it works out. If I were him I'd stick with the same starting unit next game. He's been loyal to his vets, now he's got to show the love to the vulnerable youngin's now.
