Re: Game 28: Sacramento Kings (9-18) @ Minnesota Timberwolves (16-12) - 8:00 PM ET
Hmm Bjelica is questionable , I wasn't expect him but team might want him back. ..Speaking from a fan biased (based) point of view about the game, I thing Kings have a chance here. I'm surprised to see that for Teague is offered to score 14 points in a whole game. Pretty tempting low line as I believe Teague can put that much in a QTR. Not that SAC doesn't have a player to put on him, they have a solid young guards group so Jeff could use his experience as his strong side. On the other hand I see opportunity for Bogdanovic as he could benefit from Minesota's style of play where in a role he could find some mismatches for himself rather than looking for others as he can do also. Butler seems to be leading the Wolves pack right now and he is scoring increasingly well which is something where I did not expect from him to be in front of Jeff Teague .

Rare footage of Coach Thibs smiling. Oh he's playing against the Kings go figure.

I mean I know he isnt playing his guys big minutes (irritating af) but what evidence do you have to say his development of young players is a fireable offense?
WCS is playing the best ball of his career. So is Buddy. Skal and Papa are both projects so its unfair to say Skal should be further along. This years rookies can't be judged in such a short amount of time.

Wcs is, but if we actually put him in a position to succeed on a regular basis he could be a 14/9 guy and he should clearly be playing 30+ mins not 24.City of Trees wrote:RipPizzaGuy wrote:I woulda fired him November 15th lol. Skal is a project, but putting him the post non stop isn't doing a damn thing to help him. He's a skinny frame that has a much better face up game then back to the basket.
Inconsistent minutes for the young guys is really the worst thing you can do. Jackson and skal go from starting to DNP, hield gets 30 minutes 1 night and 7 the next. Mason goes from never playing to big minutes. I get it we have a ton of guys and not everyone will get minutes, but id rather see consistency then what the hell is going on.
Look at his offense, he's probably one of the last coaches in the league who runs it thru the post. That's with koufos, skal and Randolph as the main guys. It isn't like we have some dominant big like embid or cousins or KAT, he's doing this with Randolph which is the worst part.
I was a huge backer for joerger last year, this year I can't wait to see him gone. Luke Walton alone would have won us 3-4 more games.

I hear what you're saying but that's development. Working on parts of your game in a practical situation is development and it's not going to be overnight you see results.
Inconsistent minutes are an issue but with that I also see it is as an opportunity for the young guys to become consistent. Getting a rhythm is important, no doubt. But if you can get to the point where you're ready to roll and can produce no matter what, there's benefit to that. Definitely a stretch and I'd like to see more consistent minutes but that's just me trying to find justification.
I don't think firing Joerger's the route to take. This is year one for him basically, we can't count last year as that was a completely different team with a completely different goal. We need to give him time to do things his way. Impatience with head coaches *cough*Malone*cough*, has set us back significantly in the past and wouldn't provide a different outcome this time either.
