Well, let's see how many NBA squads come knocking on this clown's door for Papa's services...
Then he can go ahead and get his client a Euro deal like we all know is coming.

I am happy with our direction and our young players, and I'm excited about us adding a top pick in the draft that has a good chance of becoming a superstar. I'm also happy that we have great character guys who are actual good people on our team. That's very important to me. Look at teams like the Suns who have tons of bad attitude players with a history of problems and stupidity, such as Marquese Chriss, Dragan Bender, Josh Jackson, and many others to a lesser extent.
Maybe I'm alone, but I'd rather have a team full of great people who get along and are working hard to get better than a team full of problems, fighting and negativity, no matter how many wins they get. People complained about the culture of the team for so long and don't even give any recognition when we have an excellent team culture now.
The continuing negativity will either be fed or abolished depending on how things are handled on the court. No doubt, the first chunk of this season was a damaging one. And Hill was a good guy, but there was obviously some negativity there so that will ease some of that I would hope. Now it's just up to Joerger to not screw it up. When weighing what he's done up to this point with what many said his issues were in Memphis that may have led to his departure there all I can say is it will be interesting. And either redeeming or damning.
I picture you with a never ending amount of water on your cornflakes.
We get it. There is no need for your negative Nancy view and same broken record to populate every trend haha.
(This is all said in a joking manner btw...in case the mods feel like over reacting again.)

Any critique is apparently too much I guess. Anyway, there is a way for this all to work out now and I think I did a fair job of describing of how it now begins on the court. This is no doubt sink or swim time. They have little time left in this year so there is no reason to swim in the kiddie pool from here on. Vlade said as much himself so we'll see if that's how it goes.

I don't have a problem with criticism. But when it's your every post across several threads and you're saying the same thing it gets tiring and old...hence why I said, "We get it."

First Unit
PG - Fox - PG of the future.
SG - BB - Stabilizer on to court. Makes everyone better.
SF - Porter/Knox - Porter has the potential to be a star (Really starting to like Knox if we dropped to 6th-8th...ummm...still early).
PF - Skal or we go after Gordon with an Offer sheet and move Skal for a 2019 pick.
C - WCS - Slowly showing he can be a modern bigman on both ends.
Second Unit
PG - Mason - Perfect backup floor general.
SG - Hield - heat check 6th man.
SF - Jackson - Can be a good role player with sneaky skills and a high everything (ceiling, motor, intangibles)
PF - Bruno - This is JUST hope at this point.
C - GIles - See above though hearing that he has been practicing with the team and in up to 6'11 240 with his skill set is helping.

Mine is similar with your projected line up and roster but I have Doncic in at SF if somehow we lucked into him. Fox, BB, Doncic as ball handlers with 2 bigs that can run and shoot can be highly entertaining (& successful, imo).
The second unit is something we all want to see pan out. Giles and Bruno are the biggest question marks. If we manage to hit 1 out of the two, I think we may have something.

Here's mine:
PG - De'Aaron Fox/Frank Mason/Aaron Holiday
SG - Marcus Smart/Buddy Hield/Justin Jackson
SF - Bogdan Bogdanovic/Luka Doncic/Vince Carter
PF - Aaron Gordon/Zach Randolph/Harry Giles
C - Clint Capela/Willie Cauley-Stein/Skal Labissiere
Draft Luka Doncic with 1st round pick and Aaron Holiday with 2nd round pick.
Garrett Temple, Kosta Koufos, and Iman Shumpert would all need to opt out. We'd have tons of cap available for free agency with very few teams to compete with. Offer Aaron Gordon max to force Orlando's hand, he'll only be 23 and is from Northern California. Offer a big contract to Clint Capela to force Houston's hand, he continues to improve every year, and he'll be 24. Offer Marcus Smart big contract to force Boston's hand, he's one of best wing defenders in NBA, brings toughness, can play PG/SG/SF, and he'll only be 24. Resign Vince Carter at veteran minimum as "player coach" along with expiring contract of Zach Randolph. Vince can mentor the wings while Zach mentors the bigs. A very young team but with younger guys that have played very well in the NBA.
kingjawn100 wrote:if we could sign Gordon to a max any kings fan should be ecstatic. Definitely worth it but obviously a long shot given that it is...Sacramento. I really doubt the Magic let him walk (basically a 22 year old 20 & 10 kid with no holes in his game). This is a kid from San Jose so who knows...maybe he would welcome playing closer to home.
But Gordon + any 1 of Doncic/Ayton/Porter/ or Bagley and i'd be thrilled.
A starting lineup of FOX/BOGI/DONCIC/GORDON/WCS would be a nice combo of athleticism + skill.
Or FOX/BOGI/PORTER/GORDON/WCS and our scoring would go way up...ideally with a pass-first backup point guard.

Castor_Troy wrote:I'm guilty of buying into the Giles hype, really excited about what I've been hearing. I'd rather take Doncic or Porter over Ayton. Plus the age of the dominate big man is over, better to have a top flight wing.
kingjawn100 wrote:I'm without a doubt NOT buying into the Giles hype. This is a guy that was averaging 4 points per game in college at this time last year. I get that he may have been misused and he probably wasn't as healthy as he is now but i just don't see him going from ineffective college player to a standout NBA player. My hope is that he turns into a serviceable rotational big down the road ala Koufos. Anything more than that is a little unrealistic.
I love that as Kings fans we are trying to get hyped about Harry Giles and Bruno Caboclo. Troubling times lol
