Skal looks much much better than Willie.

He's much better for the types of offense sets they run through Willie. It's time to start molding Willie into what he is, not what they want him to be. He could really help the team as a spot shooting, switching, energy big. Games where Willie is close to or leading your team in shots is going to almost always be a losing proposition. However, when he's out you can see some of what he brings on the defensive end when focused on expending energy there and not as a shot creator.

I think Skal, being nearly the same in size, athleticism, speed, can bring everything defensively that Willie does (blocks, switching, hustle) and he is also week at paint protection. But he is younger and can bulk up and become stronger. And he is much better scorer, he can shoot 3s, so he absolutely fits modern NBA PF role and can be easily pared with defence minded big man.

Willie doesn't get enough credit for his ability to hang with stronger players in the post. KAT has his number but he also learned how to play as a star against Willie most likely.
