I hope to see the youth in force today and hopefully some Bruno!
I've been looking at Mason and Jackson closely and I like some of what I'm seeing, and don't like a lot of what I'm seeing. Frank Mason in particular is dangerously teetering on the line of becoming that stubby volume guy which is no bueno. That's a hard way to make it in the league unless you find the right situation and you can bust out in limited touches. I had concerns when they drafted him that his role at Kansas would be hard to break away from and that is appearing to be the case. Frank, we're not in Kansas anymore.
Jackson I'm not as worried about because he fits a little better and appears to know his role, but the concerns about him having NBA 3 point range were warranted. I do think he'll get more range out of his shot but right now he's strictly limited to the short left corner. I think Francisco Garcia is indeed a good comparison for his projection and they are having almost identical rookie years and a similar effectiveness.

Just held on, and again dominated by an opponent at the free throw line. Off for a team that plays little defense.

I didnt watch the game but I saw the clip of Skal's game winner. Is it just me or is both Bogi and Fox looking at Skal like WTF why are you shooting? Especially Bogi ! Even after it goes in they don't look happy.

Luckily for him it went in. If it didn't, he'd definitely be in the doghouse. While he should have deferred to Bogdan, it's only one play and it turned out OK. Fox and Bogdan should be able to get over it. Unless actions like this continue to happen, then I'm chalking it up to an odd decision that only looks selfish on the surface.

Skal admitted he wasn't the primary option, but honestly, Skals numbers from the deep 3 aren't bad so that was a good look. I'm still waiting to see Joerger get Skal more 3's from up there. I wouldn't mind seeing more short 3's either but obviously Joerger isn't a big fan of the 3 ball.
