Scary game for the tank tonight. Home game + guys still trying hard + we already beat Miami once this year. if we win any realistic shot at the worst record is pretty much gone (would be a 3 game lead on Memphis with 13 games left, 4 of which we are probably favored to win including a head2head at Memphis).

I’m almost certain we are already out of the running. I’m basing that claim off of my opinion that 2 of Memphis, Phoenix, and Atlanta don’t win another game this season.

Honestly i just want the Kings to get to top 3 lottery odds. At that point anything is possible. Lottery could go Kings way and we move up to 1. Trade from 3 to 1 is a lot more doable that at 6 or 7. Even if we’re 3 there’s a chance the top 2 could pass on Doncic and if we’re at 2 there’s a chance Ayton falls there.

Tons of reasons why this draft is huge for Kings and that tanking is the only option (no pick next year, big name FA’s avoiding sac etc)

I agree with you. Highest pick is best. I’m fine anywhere in the top 6 though. Ayton, Porter, Doncic, Jackson, Bamba, and Bagley will all fit in great. Top three ensures that scenario.

Kings bring in their best scorer as the 10th man while struggling to score 16 throughout most of the first. Tank? Or just being a total jabroni? You make the call. Lol.

Adam Silver said that you can't go FULL TANK. I remember because he said in the voice of a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude.

I’m Ayton or bust. We don’t need a piece to ‘fit in’ with the rest of the team. We need a centerpiece to reshape the team. As much as we like to talk up the young players on the team i’m still not really sure what we have at this point. We’re so far from playoff caliber that its really gonna take a superstar, not a role player, to get us there.

When Fox drives straight to the rim you can see where he can become an elite slasher because very few players have that kind of change of direction in the paint.

I’m almost at your level. I think Porter should be mentioned with Ayton. I think that guy is gonna be great. The only issue is that he comes with the injury history.

I watched that first game back from Porter. I just really hope that was him not being 100% because it looked like he couldn't get off the floor much. There was one play where his mind said "dunk" and his body said "No way Jose". Backs can change the entire game of someone from an athletic perspective.

I only saw the highlights so I’ll take your word for it. It could be his injury or it could be rust. Time will tell. It’s worrisome for sure.

Its becoming more and more apparent that center is the most important need on this team. Willie tonite has been horrendous. As much as he might improve he just doesnt have the sort of offensive or defensive game that you will ever trust.

The Kings big board should really be...
Ayton
Bagley
Jackson
Bamba
Everyone else

The one thing i saw with Porter..he has a real high center of gravity that makes me think even at 6’10 he wont be a major factor rebounding and may struggle defending (very slim still). The one thing ill give him...he certainly doesn’t lack for confidence which you love to see.

Also...I’m the biggest De’aaron pessimist there is but one thing ill say...if he can find the right situation there’s really no telling how good he can be.

-His shot’s gonna be ok/good enough.
-He’s faster than everyone else
-He can jump unbelievably high
-He’s learned more about playing in the halfcourt this year than he probably ever had to prior
-His assist/turnover rate has gotten much better recently

If his body fills out and his point guard skills develop he COULD BE an all star down the road. Especially if he plays in an offense that utilizes his speed. Goes without saying that this is gonna be a huge offseason for him.

Well we're going to win. Nice job Joeger. Magic win and we have a chance to tie for 4th, but now we're in 6th with the Bulls and Knicks right behind us. I hope we get the 9th spot and pick 10th. Then we can lose again next year, finish with another top 10 pick and ...oh wait, we don't have a pick next year.
