Fox/Joesph/Mason

Plus alternative ballhandlers

Bogi/Guy

Is more than enough.

I'd waive Yogi and invest that roster spot elsewhere

That's what I'm thinking, especially if Guy plays well tonight. He's cheaper and longer potential team control. Same with Mason.

Keep! His contract is of good value.

FWIW Iggy could not have been bought out by us then resign with Golden State.

You’re right but it’s already out there that he is going to be bought out and go to the Lakers.

My point made basically. He would not have been willing to stay and play here. He is interested in being a key role guy in a ring team and we are just not there yet.

He would have been a problem and we would have ended up having to tail chase bottom end guys anyway.

I'd rather waive Mason and keep Yogi.

I’d keep Yogi and potentially waive Mason after camp. Yogi could still have value around the league and is a nice vet guard at the end of the bench. Good locker room guy as well.

Hopefully it is okay to respectfully disagree. I think Iguodala would have worked out terrifically for the Kings for this season. He would only want to be bought out toward the end of the season if the team he was with wouldn't be making the playoffs. He is better than Barnes or Ariza at this point. And the contract expiring next year would be perfect.

The draft pick would have been another fine asset to build on - probably as the Warriors start to sink a bit.

Additionally, if a team did want Iguodala and was willing to give up a first or multiple seconds for him - then no problem. Win/Win.

Either way, this would have been a terrific deal for the Kings.

Just another way to look at it...

Don't get me wrong though - this was an A+ off-season!

And as I suspected the Griz would do - try to double down on assets:

And he might just be Joseph out for some of the minutes...

Maybe I'm just weird but the timing of Frank being let go before announcing yogi staying bothers me.

Makes me wonder if we are trying to confirm a trade with Yogi right now before picking up his option.

Would you guys rather keep Yogi as a 3rd string pg or trade him? I can understand either route, but I somewhat like keeping him as a offensive spark plug off the bench that's familiar with our roster.

Let's see how Guy does in Vegas, if he looks good and someone would give a second for Yogi, I'd trade him.

I think keeping Brewer both as the third SF/injury insurance and to keep him away from LAL/LAC is much more important TBH.

BTW, if Kawhi stays in Toronto - I think our playoff chances go up quite a bit... fingers crossed.

Unless he goes to the Clippers there probably won't be much of a difference in our playoff odds.
