OKC is looking to shed salary to avoid the Lux tax.

I'm 100% onboard with the Kings going after Adams + 21.

I need more time to think about it.

Adams pairs with Bjelica well, but not with Giles or Bagley as much.

While the 53 million over the next two years is a lot Adams plus another young asset is what we need. Not the best option with the lack of ability to spread the court.

He does ruin the spacing for Giles and Bagley to operate with inside.

To me Adams is a negative contract. So I'm not against getting him but they would have to give us some compensation for taking on that contract and I would only do this if we struck out in free agency.

The perfect fit doesn't really exist. Horford was the closest thing, but he wants 4 years and big money and is 33. I'm all for fit, i'm all for avoiding certain players, but if we can get Adams for close to free we have to. This guys impact is insane.

I will always remember this year when he was literally bullying our guys and grabbing offensive rebound after offensive rebound. So yes he can't shoot, but he defends the paint, rolls hard to the rim, and brings toughness to this team.

I prefer Horford over him, but looking at the center market, he is my second choice.

Lets assume our front court rotation was Bjelica/Adams/Giles/Bagley. And minutes breakdown is Bagley - 33, Adams 30, Giles - 18, Bjelica -15 for simplicity.

Giles plays all 18 of his minutes with Bagley. Bjelica plays all 15 of his minutes with Adams. Adams/Bagley play 15 minutes together. This works.

If we go that route, I sure hope he and Bagley can figure it out.

Ill-fitting role players is not where you want to be. I honestly don't see how you can make it work. Adams go stands on the three point line so Bagley and Fox can have room to operate? Bagley gets relegated to standing on the three point line?

If you get Adams you gotta bring him off the bench. If we got him and a guy like Morris we would have a solid front-line rotation. Although, I would kind of rather just see how Giles turns out rather than investing huge money at C.

I'd rather get Horford even if we have to give him more years than we should. He's such a better fit.

On the other hand we need a good physical presence at C. When Sacramento came to Denver I watched Bagley and Giles just bounce off Jokic like pre-schoolers in a high-school game.
