Nuggets are playing their 2nd game of a back to back. Last night Jokic posted monster numbers in the win over Houston 19 pts, 12 reb, 18 ast, 3 stl.

After averaging almost 50 3PA in preseason the Kings have abandoned the 3 point shot. They somehow need to find it again to open up the offense.


How do the Kings respond after falling apart against PHX?


Will Haliburton continue his efficient play?


DaQuan Jefferies inches closer to making his season debut.

Denver has to be annoyed about the opener, at least we have them on a back to back.

Should have mentioned in the first post, only two Nuggets played more than 30 min last night Jokic (34) and Murray (31).

DEN was slow to get going in "preseason" but looked unstoppable last night once the altitude caught up to Harden et al a bit.
The PHX loss might be closer to the truth without, indeed, some clearer sense of planning and probably a far more precise decision on exactly which bigs will matter for the future, which guard will be the primary handler and playmaker longterm.

Things I'm looking for:

Fox to take on more of a scoring role. I'd like to see him around 24-28 pts tonight.

Hield to shoot the 3 efficiently.

Bagley to show some improvement offensively especially in iso's.

Haliburton...just get more minutes and continue what he's doing. He's been solid.

No heart, turnovers. They're one lucky bounce away from being down double digits in the first 4 minutes.

Kings took Denver's punch and have countered with a run of their own. Tied game.

Looks like we are in for a good game.

Barnes already with 5 assists and 4 points, but Morris is killing us this quarter. Already has 11.

Whiteside on Jokic is just a nightmare.

As soon as Haliburton enters the game, the ball moves. Bagley with a three. This unit was getting a little sloppy with some of the passes/handling, but it hasn't hurt them too much yet.

Nice. No shame in taking advantage of opponent stars out this year. Key to success early on especially. But good stuff going on late first half here.
