Game Thread G7: 01/04 Kings (3-3) @ Warriors (3-3) 7pm

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Sun Jan 3, 2021 11:37 pm

Kings offense stalled last game against Houston. Can they get back to establishing an identity of pace and ball movement?

Tyrese Haliburton will miss his 2nd game in a row with a left wrist bone bruise.

Lots of chatter surrounding Bagley. I would like to see him come out and ball.

Kings get their first look at Wiseman.

Warriors will stomp them. Wish it weren't so.

Not sure what Marxy is seeing in this Warriors team. The Kings without Haliburton are still competitive and I think this game will be close. If the Kings are smart (big if), then they will try to run the Warriors off the court. This will be the second game of a back-to-back for the Warriors. Fox should look to have a big game.

In fairness, I first called on them to boat race PDX tonight.
That's looking 100% correct so far here.

Steph put up 62 points tonight against Portland. He's back.

I think he sits tomorrow night, which would put a wrinkle in my confidence in the call yes. But not a very big one still- Warriors are coming together with lots of running, contact they sell and get away with, and bother small ball handsy defense that the Kings can absolutely be flustered and beaten by. The smartest decision maker/defense reader for the Kings is out already. Could be a wild shootout, for sure, and who knows. But I'll stick with my pick as a man of honor.

My god. I know this isn't the same Warriors team we were used to, but has a team ever been set up to fail as bad as us?

Denver
Phx
Phx
Denver
Houston
Houston
GSW

Then we finally get a break with the Bulls.

Then Raptors (somethings not clicking there but nobody expected them to be this bad)
Blazers
Pacers
Blazers
Clippers
Pelicans
Clippers

Thats absolutely insane. TBH F the NBA for that schedule.

I fully expect the team to beat the Warriors on a back to back. Two of the Warriors wins are against the Bulls/Pistons. The Blazers haven’t looked good this year yet either

Wow. Misjudged where this team was. Should’ve known after the Rockets games.

The fact that the tv already has to be off in the first quarter isn’t a good sign for this team as a group

Cojo should never sniff the floor, Bagley's terrible, Luke's awful, all is normal again for us.

Been fun y'all.
Truly sorry about this never ending disaster you're stuck with.
League did you dirty, sold the team to Warriors fans.

It doesn’t make sense why they would do it with a winning record. They looked good a week ago. Hali went down and all of a sudden they are terrible.

Seems like the sign of a bad coach if a rookie goes down and suddenly your team doesn't know how to play. I think Haliburton is covering for some coaching problems or roster issues, but considering this is how we looked a lot of last year, I'm leaning towards the coach.

On the plus side, bodes well for us that Haliburton can have that big of an impact if the correlation is correct.
