Surprised Fox is sitting again.

I wonder if Monte and Gentry are on the same page with the tank, and just keeping Vivek happy by saying "ya we are looking for the deal"

Ham was on 1320 earlier and he says Fox isn't sitting for the tank or trade deadline. They want him to play, Fox warms up and says he can't go. No MRI's are scheduled or have been done. It's 100% Fox saying he isn't playing because his ankle is sore.

Really hope Barnes and Holmes are on different teams after the deadline.. all the vets

But we may have a poor owner needing to sell tickets keeping what talent he can (hope not)

Its odd timing that the soreness is coming leading to the deadline, almost like a don't trade me sign

No problem. I should share Ham almost came off as someone who doesn't believe Fox has a bad ankle. Multiple times he said Fox is telling the team he's not playing.

It's weird because your star player has now missed five games due to injury and the medical staff hasn't even ordered tests to evaluate the severity

Weird. Fox must be as checked out as I am on this team. Couldn't give a damn anymore. 6 games losing streak, currently slated for the 5th pick, and they are talking about trading for Jerami Grant. I've decided that if they want to be insane, I won't go there with them.

I don't think you can blame him.
With him missing it magnifies what he does on this team. His scoring is huge, so if the Kings are going to trade him, they need to think about who is going to score the ball.

The 5D chess way of looking at this for McNair is: leak every call you make to make everyone (including the delusional owner) think you're being active, trade vets, and tell everyone who'll listen after the deadline that you tried to make a move but it compromised long term goals.

Result: no one wants you fired since you were "active", but the team still gets to that rebuild--10+ years too late, but who's counting?

We can only hope Monte is capable of pulling something like this off.

So far we have heard Simmons, Grant, Sabonis, Turner, Collins.. So pretty much every rumored big name?

I hope Monte's calls are - we will trade any combo of Barnes, Bagley, Holmes, Harkless, Len, Tristan, Buddy, 2nds. Picks and young players off the table. If one of those teams decides to be stupid then why not.

We have 5 very losable games before the deadline, and the 1 winnable one is vs OKC who always beats us. Could be sitting at 18-40 here pretty soon. I imagine Vivek will still be saying we think we can rally and make the 10th seed at that point   :banghead: :banghead:

We all see it coming.

Blazers (10th seed) on pace for 34 wins. We'd need 35 to make the 10th seed. 18-40 would mean going 17-7 over the final quarter of the season. That just isn't happening.

But it doesn't mean that we can't somehow magically hit 31 wins and find ourselves with another 10th pick! Yay!
