It's so sad that the warriors were able to go to 5 of the last 7 finals, and still have managed to accumulate better young talent than us.

Pretty crazy how unwatchable Buddy is these days.

Mitchell and Damian Jones are looking good. That's about it.

Davion needs to start if McNair wants to maximize his potential.

Right. I used to enjoy him. Yes he made bone headed plays, but when he got hot it was electric. He's so damn bad it's insane. How could he have regressed this much?? He can't even hit wide open 3s

Him and Hali are the future backcourt for sure. Haliburton's inconsistencies are starting to get a little reminiscent of another guard though.. Not liking it one bit

I'm hoping Hali's inconsistencies are coming from learning to be assertive with other scoring guards, and not a personality trait

Kuminga is "spring break" because you never know what he will do. Wiggins 2.0 Bad BBIQ/no range/awkward tweener barreling into the lane
Davion is a two way guard who is going to send one way Fox on a one way ticket out, hopefully this trade deadline.
He was a good pick on draft night, a good pick now, and as I have said Hali/Mitchell look to be the guards going forward

I'm hoping it's just carrying a small injury. But I tend to think it's his personality.

The drastic inconsistency? If it is, then despite the fact that he is the teams best asset currently, maybe he's playing himself into Simmons territory after all. Simmons/Mitchell backcourt would terrorize defensively.. (Fox would still be moved)
He was putting up near 20/10 without Fox prior to this patch, was he playing above his head during certain games?

1 is 19 and raw, the other is 23. Kuminga will have such a better career than mitchell. Only a kings fan would think otherwise.

Maybe. Having thought about this a bit more.
One thing I noticed last game and I think this might be part of it. He was shooting a lot quicker against Brooklyn. I have no doubt they are working on him getting his release quicker.
Against Brooklyn he was 1-6 and that is the first time I have really noticed him shooting a lot quicker. Has anyone else noticed it before or have more info on this?
It may have rattled him. Look at his first 3 this game, he took his time and GP3 blocked it.
Perhaps it's him going through changing his shot during the season. Not the best thing to do, but if he comes through the other end with a quicker shot release at the same clip so he can take advantage of players going under screens, great.
Having said all that, Hali was really tentative on some drives that would have given him a lay in or his typical alley to Holmes.

I know you're not high on Davion, but that is strange after he goes for a career night.
Kuminga would be decent too, I get it, but tell me who doesn't look good coming off this Warriors bench and playing with Steph and Klay.

Okay this game, even though it was a loss I have to give some credit. Lately I have been complaining about structure and system. Not having plans against different teams.
I have to give the coaching staff some credit here. They went after Steph, as they should ALWAYS do, and it was a really good move.
It wasn't obvious all the way through, but it made the Warriors switch up the D a little bit and keep an eye out. The next step is
There were a couple of times I think it was GP3 and he hedged to the key almost and Buddy was in the corner. That is where the team needs to be aware of both and skip to the open player.

It sounds like its meant to cause trouble. I don't normally respond to the poster, but this is a time period leading up to the trade deadline and beyond where a lot of things will be said, and I can't let some things go without rebuttal, for now. After the roster is congealed I think less will be said where I would feel the need to rebut

Kuminga is going to be one of the best players from his draft class. Book it

It's not even about Davion necessarily. It's just how you need to build a team In today's nba. Wings and forwards are without a doubt the most important position. And the kings haven't had good ones in forever.
Instead we continue to focus on guards and centers. It's a continued recipe for disaster.
Between age, body size, skill set, position.. Kuminga has a chance to become an elite star. Mitchell may become a good starter.
And we all knew that kuminga was very raw coming out. The fact he is doing what he is doing is kinda crazy. Mitchell was a college champion who is 23 and supposed to be polished out the games.
In a sense it's like a Malcolm brogdon vs jaylen brown. Yes brogdon won rookie of the year, but flash forward 6 years and brogdon is basically the same player at 29 years old, and jaylen brown is 25 a star and hasn't even entered his prime.
So again, not even a knock on mitchell. Could become a good player. He won't change a franchise like scottie Barnes or kuminga can.
