Acquiring Sabonas was not the issue. It was trading away Haliburton that was the issue with the Kings fans.

I get it man.

And as crushed as we all were I'm sure Monte hurt more.

If there was any other way to get sabonis you make it happen, but there wasn't. You have to give to get.

Sac fans and Indiana fans are connected now.

We swapped fan favorites. That doesn't go away overnight. I'll be 100% rooting for Hali in Indiana. And I'm more confident is Carlisle ability to maximize his potential than I ever was he would reach it in sac.

Agree with you 100%. I think its also a direction issue. I think most fans believe we should tank out for a pick this year but instead we are making a push for a play in game.

So here is where I'm torn on that.

Had we made some moves like we did last year (shuffle the deck, Harkless, Davis, Wright) then I agree, its shortsighted looking at the play-in.

Sabonis is 25 years old. Hes a 2x all star. Hes locked in 2 more years and wants to be in California.

IMO this trade had less to do with the play in this year, and more to do with the next 2 years. Just my thought.

Push for the play in or not is 2D thinking.

Maybe the direction is Improve the roster with all star talent, which just so happens, to equal more wins than losses. :starwars
