Once again, an opponent that Mo should not be starting against. Put Davion in, or at least put DDV in if Davion misses the game.
Want to see some more Davion/Holiday/DDV defensive chemistry at some stage.

I know there are some that think Harkless is some stud PF and he gives the KIngs an edge, but it's furthest from the truth.
Davion = White
Fox = Dosunmu
Holiday = Derozan
Barnes = Green
Sabonis = Vucevic

Get Fox/Sabonis going early and DDV in for Fox for the first sub to shut down their offense completely (hopefully).
Sabonis has played well against the Bulls in the past couple of years. His usage seems to go up. Expect a big outing from Ox.

This might just be the first game we see Sabonis/Holmes play together. I have a feeling they will surprise people.

Davion is out but gentry is a walking disaster. Sabonis sits midway through the first? Ddv needs to play with sabonis, i don’t get it.

I got in the habit of box score tracking the Kings when the Sixers/Kings rumors were flying around. It seems like Fox has really picked up his play post trade.

Wanted to check with the die hard Kings fans, any noticeable improvement in his effort/focus or is it just reversion to the mean + the Sabonis impact?

we are trending in the right direction, but there is still a lot of riff raff we need to replace in the offseason. Harkless/Metu/and Holiday shouldn't be starting and Holmes is killing us. I guess its good to get a solid pick this year, and come back with a renewed core with Fox/Barnes/Sabonis/DDV/Mitchell

Fox isn't being jerked around to fit the games of his teammates. That stopped months ago but then he got "hurt". :lol:

Refs really hate the kings tonight. Missing Davion. We get zero from our pf spot. Holmes looks like his game was stolen by one of the monstars from space jam

Also didn't gentry say "we need 1 of Fox or sabonis on the court at all times" after last game? He couldn't even follow thru 1 game on that.

Refs have missed 4 out of bounds calls against the kings. 1 so blatant they had to change the call lol

I agree with boogie. Holmes is pretty much unplayable right now. No idea what the hell happened to him. He can't even catch the ball clean anymore

I mean derozan and coby absolutely on fire. Their role players were getting on the loose balls.. and the refs giving them some garbage foul calls and those out of bounds calls.

Still happy with the performance. Sabonis killed it and was getting beat up all night, I'm frustrated for him that he only shot 2 free throws. Fox was super solid.

The team never gave up. It's just when we force the 3 ball, then they make us pay with wide open 3s. Or they get a garbage call, it's tough to keep climbing out of those holes.

Credit to derozan for playing like MJ tonight.

Oh boy what a disaster.
DDV should have started for our boy Harkless. Sorry to say it, but told you so.
If he had, who knows, Javonte Freakin Green might not have torched us in the first. 2 x 3s and 2 x lay ups.

Honestly I don't know how Alvin Gentry is a damn coach. You say Fox and/or Sabonis need to be on the floor at all times and yet less than 1 half of a game you do something different. No wonder these guys play like crap half the time.

Holmes has issues, I spoke about that in the other thread, not going to here, but why is he in the damn game in that state? Yeah being around the guys and on the court will help, but you have to win damn games. Sit him and give him support. He will come back in time. But till then, sit his ass down. I am going to assume, and please someone tell me, Damian Jones must be injured. He should be getting the back up 5 minutes and even 3-4 minutes with Sabonis.
Since Sabonis got here Metu has looked like he is walking on egg shells (apart from the first quarter of the first game). He is second guessing himself. He is like Holmes, without the injuries and other things going on (I assume).

When was the last time (as I type this I think it was TD), a Kings player just lit up the opposition for like 3 times their average? Coby White just did it, and he did it last year too. This is extremely regular. We all know that. But I am cool with Fox getting his and tearing it up, but at some stage this team needs to stop allowing wide open 3s and Fox is the main culprit. He is trying harder on D, he is playing better D, but it's just not good enough to give a near 40% shooter so much space. Man if Buddy freakin Hield got that much space he would still be here in Sacramento and knocking it down at a 44% clip.

The rotation needs to get cut after the AS break. To win games. If they lose them then give the slops, the slops.

Davion/DDV
Fox
Holiday
Barnes/Harkless
Sabonis/Jones

Apologies for the long winded replies, I don't get to watch games until later in the day, especially on the East Coast so I wanted to get it into 1 post.

I'm honestly okay with the outcome. They fought hard all game against the 1st seed in the East. Injured or not, the Bulls are still rolling right along, and DeRozan is playing like the #1 player in basketball right now. We are in sole possession of the 6th overall pick. Even if we don't want to keep the pick, that is going to help our trade package this summer.

This team has some holes, going into next season I think we have a solid 7 guys who should be on the roster

Guards - Fox, Mitchell, DDV, Davis
Wings - Barnes, Holiday
Bigs - Sabonis

They need to add a starting 3/4 and a bench 4/5. Ideally some length and defense.
