No one is expecting a win, so let's just watch some good basketball.

Coach Brown got his ring.

This game is a case in point in why the starters matter: Okpala, -10, Murray +8. They tied the game after Keegan came in.

Four fouls in five minutes for Davion Mitchell. Out he goes.

When you put up 70 in the first half but still manage to trail by 20, you have some issues.

Fox and Keegan looking good, Huerter having a rough go so far today and Sabonis with some decent looking numbers but not having a great impact.

I go back and forth on whether or not Okpala is worth putting in time to develop. He shouldn't be starting ahead of Murray, but I'm even more sure Barnes shouldn't be (Barnes looks at the end of the line)

I still think we somehow have major schematic and personnel issues. Sabonis has been brutal thus far this season and to me it has a lot to do with not putting him in a position to succeed or run the offense through him at times. I’m not sure brown knows how to use this guy.

Barnes was a ghost tonight. What's your take on him and is he done in SAC?

So Brown came out after the game and basically said Keegan will begin to start. He started for Okpala in the 2nd half, so I guess it’s probable though I’d prefer for Barnes

Barnes has zero impact on the games, no longer a factor

What concerns me is Sabonis logged 19 and 14 in only 22 minutes but was still unplayable. Oh boy.

I think he is done. Props to Harrison for having pushed through the drama in Sacramento with the utmost professionalism during his time here but both parties would benefit from a fresh start. The Kings have Murray to take his place and Barnes would benefit from a change of scenery. I would like to see a deal get done sooner rather than later, preferably to a team where Barnes can help contribute for a playoff contender.

The problem isn't Coach Brown not knowing how to use Sabonis, it's what Sabonis has yet to show, can he defend in Coach Brown's system? It only took 2.5 games to see Sabonis sitting on the bench at the end of a game. Something to watch for sure.

Poole was impressive last night. Gave them fits.

Thanks for your input. Barnes is a nice expirer for you. You should be able to deal him quickly if needed.

I mean, starting Okpala was always going to be a disaster.
Keon Ellis would give this squad 100x what Okpala does. He is just as good on D, and he can hit the 3 ball. Move Keegan to starting 4, Keon joins the starting group, no I'm not kidding, if Okpala can start, Ellis can, and Barnes to the bench, a bench line-up that would be the Kings' starting 5 almost from last season. Davion/Monk/Davis/Barnes/Holmes.

The correct thing would be to switch out Ellis and put in Davis at the 3. He can handle the bigger bodies for small stretches and by the time he can't, Barnes would come in off the bench.

I think there were comps of him being a better Marvin Williams early on in his career and I dont think it could have been hit on the head more perfectly than that
