Game 20 Thread - Kings (10-9) vs Pacers (12-8)
Apparently I'm bad at math but this is the actual Game 20 thread.
Things I'm looking for tonight:
1. Control the emotion. This is a game that a lot of people will likely have eyes on due to the Hali-Sabonis trade. Both teams are doing well since last year's deadline but, naturally, people like to look at trades in terms of which side won. I'm sure Domas, Fox and company want to prove that we came out on top but we will need to keep the emotions of the surrounding circumstances in check and focus on playing good basketball. If we try to force things, things can go south.
2. Unleash the Ox. Even as I say we should not force things in terms of trying to prove we "won" the trade, this is actually a game Domas should thrive in. Outside of Myles Turner, Indiana doesn't have great depth at the big man spot and Domas should feast against the smaller bigs should Carlisle not make sure Turner matches every Sabonis minute. Also, with Turner spending a decent amount of time on the perimeter, we really need to dominate the glass.
3. Keep the slide in check. I mentioned in a game thread previously that it's important to have win streaks like our recent 7 game streak but it's doubly important not to have extended losing streaks. We've now lost three straight, albeit to some very good teams, but this is a game we need to win to prevent us from going into too much of a tailspin. Especially with it being on our home floor. I want to see a sharp and locked in team tonight to keep this losing streak from extending any further and to stay above .500 which should be the goal all season long.

I'll be at the game tonight, this feels like a crucial one. We lost 3 straight against good teams, and our schedule coming up is pretty tough. Also for morale, these guys aren't robots. They see what Hali is doing and the media narrative that's swung since we've been losing. Need a huge game from Fox. I think he brings it tonight.

Fox's motor, this is now 4 games in a row....
has to be more consistent than that, in past seasons he would be allowed to mire in 9 game dips, that isnt brown. he has his work cut out for him with that Motor though

Sabonis leaves in foul trouble and Fox immediately runs down and hits an elbow jumper. Good signBoogieTime wrote:Fox's motor, this is now 4 games in a row....

Re: Game 20 Thread - Kings (10-9) vs Pacers (12-8)
Its nights like these when the Sabonis/Hali trade doesnt look bad. Sabonis gravity has been a lot more than Reese tonight, and still arguable if it isnt in total (not taking into account Huerter fitting in at the 2). Sabonis is a work horse, and still impacts the game more than just 2 or so other bigs imo. I wanted to see how Tyrese was doing it, but not impressed tonight (maybe caught him on the wrong day). Pacers have also had a very weak schedule
ofcourse we have to re sign him...

I wouldve assumed it. His constant innuendo about being moved when he was here in conjunction with his play growing tired.

I didn't understand it either. I get he was a scapegoat but they treated him like he was Bagley. Just know I was not a part of that behavior.

This man needs more minutes. I just don’t know where they come from in a backcourt with Fox/Huerter/Monk. I guess you can run more 3 guard lineups and less Keegan, but that may hurt his confidence/growth.

I don't mind the intro boo's but booing every time he touched the ball was uncalled for in my opinion.BoogieTime wrote:City of Trees wrote:What was up with booing Buddy?codydaze wrote:I'm in Golden 1 tonight and the energy is crazy.
