Game 28 Thread - Kings (15-12) @ Pistons (8-22)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Fri Dec 16, 2022 11:50 pm

Last game of the road trip tonight, looking to finish off strong and come back home with some momentum.

Things I'm looking for tonight:
1. Take care of business. Detroit, especially without Cade Cunnigham, is a team that the Kings need to beat. After two ugly losses on this road trip and a gutsy win against Toronto the other night, we need to finish the road trip on a high note and come back home looking to extend a winning streak. The activity and athleticism of Jalen Duren was something we struggled to contain in the first matchup, I want to see Sabonis attack him and force him to stay out of foul trouble.

2. Everyone pitches in. Aside from Fox and Sabonis, the bench has been a highlight of this year consistently coming in the game and providing a spark. I would like to see 6 or 7 guys get into double figures tonight, we need everyone to get back on track and break their slumps. Huerter is back tonight as well and we could use a big shooting night from him.

3. The other Bogdanovic. The savvy veteran Bojan is a guy that will historically kill us. With Detroit dealing with some injuries and just a young team in general, Bogdanovic has stepped up as a focal point of the offense. I'd like to see us throw some different looks at him tonight, whether it's Keegan, HB or even TD off the bench to keep him off balance and limit his production. If we can slow down Bojan and keep Duren off the offensive glass, this is a game we should win handily.

Can we just blow these fools out and have a easy wire to wire win?

Detroit out rebounding Sac at the half 25 - 15. The difference is Duren with 10.
The bench was out rebounded 8-2

Weird Mike Brown went with only a 9 man rotation in the first half. I feel like Lyles or Okpala can have a positive impact here

Nice to see Fox's back to back games right when I was at my brink ha. Good games from an assortment of players. Good road trip and strong showing on this 6th game in the second half

Huerter shot coming back??? Murray with an awesome road performance. Sabonis his dominant self with 23-13-7 on 11 shots lol. Fox looking much better with the rest, if some of his 3s fell he coulda easily went for 30.

Good end to the road trip. Think we all would be satisfied 3-3 considering the level of competition faced (4 of the top 6 east teams, and Toronto isn't a gimme).

Tempted to go to the Charlotte game!

Pistons fans really dislike Sabonis.
