Game 35 Thread - Kings (19-15) @ Grizzlies (22-13)

Kings open up 2023 looking to stay atop the Pacific division in the first game of a road trip in Memphis.
Things I'm looking for tonight:
1. New Year fireworks. We ended the year with some good momentum beating a very good Denver team and Utah who has been the surprise of the season. Memphis comes in tonight on the second half of a back-to-back so we should look to capitalize against their tired legs and get out into the open floor. Are we going to have a NYE hangover or start the year with a bang?
2. Business trip. Kings are .500 on the road so far at 8-8 which is a benchmark we should be aiming for all year. If we can at least break even with our road games we will put ourselves in a nice position to make the playoffs outright. This will be a short, two game trip so I want to see us take care of business and get both of these wins.
3. Defend without fouling. We know Ja is going to be aggressive attacking the rim and we know he has the ability to draw a lot of whistles so we need to stay out of foul trouble and keep them off the free throw line. Desmond Bane is out tonight so while they have capable three point shooters on the floor, they're missing their sniper. Let them beat us from deep rather than the charity stripe.
