Game 48 Thread - Kings (27-20) @ Wolves (26-25)

First of two straight games in Minny. Ideally would like to take both of these but the Wolves have been playing better ball lately.

I think we may have gotten ahead of ourselves. We’ve been relatively injury free, with a lighter western schedule. Maybe we finish 1 or 2 above .500 and in the playin, which would still be a step forward
Domas, by far and away the teams top talent, has been falling to earth at a time when his hand should be healing

It was a two possession game with 50 seconds left. I would argue that overreacting to two losses is getting ahead of yourself more than where we are on the year. Losses are going to happen, we're still third in West and we actually have a lighter schedule ahead of us.

I'm not sure I will go 100% with you, but
We do have one of the "easiest" schedules from here on in. IMO that doesn't mean crap, and the Kings need to pull their finger out.
1 - TELL Lyles to shoot the damn bball again. Talk about getting ahead of yourself.
2 - Fox is a hell of a scorer, having a better season (not AS in WC IMO) but at what point does the above come into play for coach Brown???
So, what I mean is, coach Brown spoke about Lyles and GS would know he would pump fake etc, etc. Brown says shoot it FFS and all of a sudden Lyles is this fantastic sub.
Now, why wouldn't Brown have said to Fox, score like you are in the 4th in every damn quarter. If you can't, why not just play you in the second half. That's hyperbole, but FFS Fox, take over a game in the opening quarter. You got embarrassed by Russell and did nothing.
3. Maybe the most important. The Kings are now being found out against WC teams, not just EC ones. Sacramento is the softest team in the L. No other team, at least in the top 8 in each conference is particularly close.
It's not about rim protection, getting a bench rim protector isn't going to do ANYTHING to this Sac team. It's not about anything else other than playing hard. The Kings unfortunately don't have it. We will hang on and have a good PO series where hopefully some guys catch fire and carry us to being up in the last where Fox will lead us home.
If Metu, Okpala and Davion get on the floor in the POs we are in trouble.

They have an easier schedule than the group of teams immediately behind them? I thought we just witnessed the Kings underwhelm a bit on what was their easiest stretch by losing a couple games at home they shouldn’t have. Would be nice to see a stat on this.
