Gotta be straight here.
If the kid has a few more games like he is having for Stockton, they REALLY need to aendnDuarte down to get right and bring Colby up to earn minutes. He is looking like a really nice piece to integrate as a wing.

Colby - 21 yrs old
Duarte - 26 yrs old
Giving up on Duarte after only 10 games may be too hastily, but man, Colby is making his case known.

I think this is what may happen. It's a good use of the Stockton Kings.
IMO we will see this happen a lot soon throughout the NBA. Teams have to utilize the G League better.
As far as Colby himself. He is a rookie and will make mistakes, however, his play style is what Brown is looking for. Maybe needs to work on his pace, but that's just something anyone new to it will take time adjusting.
What has surprised me is his 3pt shot. Not that he is a sniper or anything, but I thought he would struggle big time.

I'm surprised his ability to get to the rim transitioned. Guess he has a little wiggle, too

Colby is definitely going to be a rotation piece for this team for a long time. What scares me about him playing well is he becomes a part of the asking price for a guy like OG.

I'm not really concerned.
We did exercise our team option on Duarte next year at $5,893,768
https://www.spotrac.com/nba/sacramento-kings/chris-duarte-74120/But I'd just leave Colby in Stockton until December 15th if we did want to try and move Duarte.

if we brought him up he'd barely play and when he did he's get zero touches. It's very misleading what these guys do down there. Now, if we could free up some playing time by making a consolidation trade then heck yeah. Until then, let him cook until that time.

Now that Huerter is injured I hope he's not needlessly down in the G-league so I have to see more of Duarte/Mitchell if they are struggling
