CJ is out for the Pelicans

Len, Lyles, Ellis out for us. Sasha & Huerter game time decisions.

So looks like we could be a little lean tonight. Colby was recalled from Stockton last night.

Pelicans just 4-4 at home

Kings favored by 1

Our guys are banged up a bit and staying in Memphis for another game in on Wednesday. Hopefully no one playing under 100% gets worse.

I seem to recall Metu getting tossed to the ground after riding on Valenciunas.

But we could get beat up here tonight.

We always seem to suck against New Orleans for whatever reason so hopefully it's not another one of those nights.

We're down right now, but if we continue playing the way we are then we will be okay. We are playing some good defense and forcing turnovers but shots just aren't falling for us right now. 40% from the field for us vs 73% from the field for the Pels and only a 2 point game. That will surely correct itself.

Need to find a way to slow down Zion.

Sabonis with about 2 minutes of garbage play.

I've been trying to think about what we could try with our available players and can't come up with much. I guess you could give up some space and dare him to shoot outside the key.

Giving him space just gives him some ground to get downhill and then good luck stopping the freight train. I think once he turns the corner we need to bring another body, make him a playmaker. Can't let him get below free throw line extended with the ball or it's trouble.

With Val and Zion on the court, your only option is to play McGee and Sabonis together, Sabonis defending Zion. All he plays is the bullyball, and Sabonis is one of the few players that he cant bully.

I noticed Barnes giving him more space and Edwards harassing him when he could. Looks like they may try to both.

But things are starting to go bad. Not looking good tonight.

The refs have been calling Sabonis pretty tight.

JaVale is interesting, at least he has length. But we are getting thin.

Don't be surprised if they give the Pelicans another point in a minute, think they got robbed on a 3.

But down 22 now, may not matter.

Well better to get stomped tonight if we were going to lose and play some guys less than to lose a close one.
