Closing out 2023 against a Memphis team that is fully healthy and available for the first time this year (because of course it's against us). Let's close out the year with the beam lit!

The Grizzles might be the worst interior team in the NBA, so let's stop chucking 3's at every opportunity, and win the FT line battle.

Not sure Duarte is a fix to our problems.

I cant complain because we got the breaks last year, but it would've been nice to have seen Memphis pre-Ja (though we have been good so far this game)

he isnt the fix but he's better than Huerter has been this year

much more edge to the starting unit without huerter, and man do we need to re-sign monk. still dont feel comfortable with just the early bird, but we will see.

Ja guarding Fox is BBQ chicken. Memphis better hide Ja in the corner

The better keep Ja away from Monk as well

Grizz are a different team with Adams. I still like them when at full strength

Huerter get away with a double dribble on that long two?

impressive all the way around, and I hope that starting lineup change really added something to our game

Good win. Much needed of course.
If the Kings are to become a contender they require a low cost defensive starter at either the 2 or the 4.
With Monk there (and I will be he is signing an extension here) I think the low cost starter should be Duarte. In the off season I would mind the Kings sign him to a long term extension at a good number that has the potential to look like a steal later on.
Anyway, probably the best game from start to finish this season so far.
