Second night of a b2b and we don't look great so far. Sorry for the late game thread but it's been a rough night for the Kings...

Lavine is probably the most low IQ player I've had the privilege to watch in years. The amount of sleeping he does on defense is mind blowing.

Another night of watching the opposing team shooting wide open 3 after wide open 3. I hope they lose out, keep the draft pick, fire monte, and get lavine/derozan off my team.

What are you talking about dude. Stop with this defense only talk. It's completely normal to allow your opponent to shoot open 3s. If you want to blame anyone, blame Trey Lyles. Or Monk, yeah, blame Monk.

It's pretty obvious at this point this franchise is about to break. So get ready people for some absolutely shocking performances coming up.

It's just a terrible situation and the people that are no longer here that were at the start of the season clearly weren't the problem, or at the very least, not the only problems.

And I will say, I wonder why Zach Lavine is on 7 shots tonight following a 6 shot night last night.
A shade under 31 minutes tonight and 31 minutes last night.

Sometimes he accumulates shots and you just don't think he is shooting much, but yeah.

As I post that he hits a 3. Bit late now though when the bench should be in. Typical Kings move BTW, keep the starters in when they should be on the bench.

Adding to the shots etc, Keegan Murray gets what 10-11 shots in the first half and then...nothing. This is something that is a trend with Keegan and certainly was with Kevin and others on the team. It's not good enough and isn't simply a players thing, it's a strategy thing.

Team is bad with Brown and Fox
Team is bad with Doug and Sabonis

This core is not good and the players simply don’t fit. Roster construction very bad. Vibes are off. Defense still looks horrible. Offense looks horrible.

There is a good chance the Kings won’t win more than 5 games to close the season.

They need to not give up their lotto pick to Atlanta at all costs, imo.

Blow this team up in the offseason.

Move monk back to the bench.

Role with massive amounts of minutes for Carter, Keon, Keegan, laravia, crawford, Isaac jones let's see what we have going into next year.

The saddest part is Keegan was our ticket out of mediocrity. The highest upside on the team and we've turned him into an our of position player who chases curry around 40mpg and begs for the ball hogs to hopefully pass him the ball while he's open from 3.

Yet we keep on getting guys in that won't turn up on 1 end of the court and are definitely not going to be below Keegan on the offensive totem pole.
Look, I'm absolutely stoked with his defensive progress and didn't see him anywhere close to the defender that he is today. But and I'm going to put this on another sentence to not get caught up here.

Keegan doesn't shoot the ball because it's the strategy of the team. Look at him getting the first shot of the game routinely now, that's not Keegan saying I will shoot it, it's the play. It's FOR him. The same thing happened with Kevin, they ran the first play for him and gave him shots in the first quarter etc. Then NOTHING. It plays with a shooters mindset. It does nothing for them.
This isn't a Kevin thing BTW, it's a Kings thing. Put the next guy into it and it will happen to them too eventually.

Fox on a back to back , 4 in 5 nights, pure spaghetti, with that motor was a total mess on both sides. Team would have had bad d with 4/16 fg 1/7 turnovers

No, it’s a trend with him. He’s been improving offensively but by bit, but the aggression is a constant no matter who he’s played with

It’s almost as if it’s innate personality or lack of conditioning to play both ends, let’s hope latter

Can’t really judge as so many teams would falter on this stretch of 4 games, 3 without their best player

The team has been admirable at .500 given the schedule the pre deadline team left.

We’ll see what’s going on when the schedule is normal
