Game 69: Kings (35-33) vs Bulls (29-40)

Post#1 » by codydaze » Fri Mar 21, 2025 2:17 am

Second night of a b2b but Zach is back so this is a game we absolutely need to win. We've done a good job of beating teams we should beat under Doug so let's hope the trend continues tonight.

Only the Kings would beat Cleveland only to follow it up with a loss to the Bulls while letting Huerter go off on us. Chicago is also on the second half of a b2b, and a road one at that, so no excuses.

Worst loss of the season? Feels like I've said that 10x but beat the cavs then blow a 21pt 2nd half lead to Kevin huerter lol.

Lavine sucks. No other way around it. Buddy hield on twice the contract. What an absolute mistake of a trade for the kings. He makes us worse not better

Most players like to stick to their old team. Lavine 9 shots 8 points. There is something wrong with this guy. The bulls are tanking and were fighting for a play in spot. I figured Lavine would take this game over.

Ok. This one was just ugly. Apart from the first half I guess. And then Doug decided, hey let's let move Keegan off Coby. Then Coby proceeds to have his way with us, until then Doug puts Keegan back on him late in the game when its too late and once again Coby falters. Come on man. Your D has ignited you all this time and then the coaching staff takes a night off and just goes back to offense only? I mean even look at the broadcast. Katy goes, I feel like the Kings should be pushing up at about this point. Yeah Katy? With who? Monk/Lavine/DDR/Keegan/Lyles were on the floor. Who TF is putting pressure on? Monk? Not without flopping. Lavine? Nope. Something is wrong with him and I'm going to guess it's the personal reasons thing and why he hasn't been great the last few as well.
Keegan was the ONLY player on the floor that can defend and the Kings were meant to win? GTFOH with anyone saying Doug wanted to win this game. He lost it. I don't care if he is doing what he is told, HE lost this game.

Can anyone tell me what the absolute F DDR does except stagnate an offense just to have everyone cream their pants over a mid range jumper? Oh yeah Was he going for 25k points tonight? I missed it. That should tell you about what is more important to the Kings at this point.

we'll assume what kept Zach out contributed to this as it wasnt anywhere near normal output.. Keon wasn't good so the usual take to start him wouldn't really apply. Obviously Domas is a huge part of what goes on despite yesterday as record/impact shows.. Christie, still half way... but glad Malik is showing stuff, that really bodes well for the future of this iteration

I agree Lavine gets a pass here because I really think something could be up. Look at the games he didn't get shots up etc. Not making excuses Boogie, you know, but sometimes these things happen in life.

But if there is stuff happening I would think the best thing is to be around him and not allow him to play.
