Redd's a very good offensive player - but why?

Bibby (or Beno)
Martin
Redd
Moore
Miller

Where's the defense on the wings? Where's the consistent wing play-makers (Ron, Salmons, Beno)? Kevin Martin's offensive role gets smaller than it's been.

Bench: Beno/Douby, Salmons, Garcia, KT, Justin

Then you have Redd's contract, which he's worth, but for us? Again, I don't like it. I'd rather have John Salmons replace Artest than Redd, if Ron's going to be moved. And, between the two for us, I'd rather have Ron than Redd.

If Redd's going to be moved it should be to a set playoff team, or a team who's lacking offense/shooting.

In the end, highly doubt this happens. To be direct, I don't think it will. I just felt like sharing my thoughts on it, anyway.

From seeing him at times on NBATV, Peter Vecsey seems like a good guy and seems to know about the game okay - but his writing is garbage.

Yup.

Vescey pulled that out of his ass.

there is no ounce of truth to that.

I dunno, although its frustrating and painful and driving me crazy

but it is fun to wait and see...

either
a)Petrie is an absolute genius and has everything exactly planned out
(you never know, maybe artest for redd, martin for brand, just something completely unexpected and amazing you know?)

or
b) Petrie has completely lost his touch, and has no idea what he is doing at all.

Let's just wait and see...it'll be, it'll be an interesting ride nonetheless.

This part of the rumor is more realistic. First that comes to my mind is Garcia to Denver, he fits with Iverson and Anthony (Garcia+filler for Nene?).

Maybe Cisco and Kenny for Nene? Or Cisco and Kenny for BJax and Hilton Armstrong. I'd like either :)

It would be a very good deal, but I was thinking in something like Moore+Douby instead of Kenny as a filler for Nene.

Other than his injuries, I really like Nene.

Because of his injuries and lack of sustained efffort and inability to stay in shape, I really have a strong disdain for Nene.

Nobody knows if its true or not. We will see what happens in the next week or so. A trade that I could see happening involves us and the Knicks dealing Ron to New York. Then maybe us and the Cavs/Heat when Bibby gets back..

IIRC nene came into the season in excellent shape this season, however everyother season its been the case of him in poor shape.

I would not be opposed to nene especially if we can net him through garcia.

Isn't Vecsey globally recognized as a total moron?

I'd say he's been wrong more than he has been right but he is right sometimes. He called the Bibby-JWill trade right before it went down.
He called the artest for peja trade a day before it happened as well although most of u heard the rumor for years of course.

Yes he can, he's decent there. Always has been. Aside from that he's big, quite athletic, seems to play smart, and is a very good man-defender. Solid rebounder. Above-average offensively.

Not being a really good shotblocker doesn't mean there's little to no interior intimidation, presence, defensively. It depends on the player and what he does, mentally and physically.

I'd prefer to draft our PF, though. Also is more realistic.

Interesting news about the Milwaukee Bucks. A day after we hear about Ron possibley going there, news comes out that they are willing to deal anyone besides Bogut and Yi. Just thought that was a bit interesting.

They would have to take on more Salary than just Ron Artest. I don't see them wanting to take on long deals, and other than Artest that's all we have to offer.

i dont see us doing a deal for him unless there are more players involved like villanueva us possibly doing artest & k9 or artest & miller i am not saying that those deals are fair or possible just saying if a deal is done it would be along those lines

don't be shocked though if we did trade with the bucks that bibby goes there again not saying it would happen but i can see the bucks needing bibby !

i dont think we will trade with the bucks though !

I did a deal on trade checker that worked...but I don't exactly like it unless we are getting some picks. I still don't think I like it though:

Sac trades: Bibby, Artest
Gets: Redd, Jason Williams

Bucks trade: Redd, Desmond Mason
Bucks get: Haslem, Artest, Davis

Heat trade: Haslem, Davis, Williams
Get Bibby, Mason

I didn't like the deal but I'm more stating that a deal would have to have a third team.
