K-mart the all-star?

Post#1 » by KM44 » Tue Jan 29, 2008 5:30 am

I have thought it since the beginning of the season, Martin is an all-star. Once he went down with the groin injury, I thought that he would have no chance due to him playing on such an unpopular team.

After last night, though, I am starting to think, "why the hell shouldnt he be an all-star." 24.4 ppg!!! come on, only Kobe and AI have more in the west. true he's played 17 less games then the nearest 2-guard in scoring (Durant) but he is only averaging a little over 19 a game. Martin has him by 5 points! and I would put money that Martin would have a higher average than Durant if he had played those 17 games. This is leaving the shooting percentages aside (Martin-46 Durant sub 40).

I have a terrible feeling that he will get snubbed, but I am going to declare that Kevin Martin is an All-star

Kevin Martin is playing at a All Star level. But he will not get recognize due to the team's success (Which is a sub .500 team) I like Martin but it is pretty much a given that he will be snubbed for this year IMO. Maybe next year....

I wouldn't say he was snubbed after missing time due to injury.

Yeah I love Kevin, but honestly, there particularly after the injury, and outside of the starters, you really can't argue for him over Paul, Nash, Baron, Deron, Roy and arguably Manu (who per minute numbers this year are just ludicrous).

I would agree with Roy, Paul and Deron above Martin in a second, but Nash and Baron are iffy. I just really want to see the future of the NBA, and the kings, playing on a national stage. Its a bummer that he's going to get boned. the kings always get boned. :nonono: stupid NBA

It's not "getting boned" if others deserve it more. Nash and Baron have both lead their teams to much better records than the Kings. Nash should really be a lock.

IF we were 500. through all the injuries he would defiantly be an all-star

But we're not.

Who cares. All-Star games don't validate you.
