What do you guys think about this trade:
NJN get: Ron Artest, F.Garcia and kenny Thomas(or SAR)
SAC get: Vince Carter and Jamal Magloire

Its been a long time since Air Canada....if we wanted Magloire we could have made a move 2 summers ago. Sorry, but if the Nets want to shake things up they should move Kidd....and not to the Pacific Division plz. While it is always a positive to dump Kenny, taking back Magloire when we just drafted Hawes doesn't make any sense to me.

Carter isn't what we need, but i think i'd do that trade. Magliore expires any way

This wouldn't improve our cap situation even though we get rid og kenny, Carters contract runs through 2011 and has a team option for 2012. And the only net player that i would want is Sean Williams.

I like Carter to be honest but his contract and the position that he plays are not needed IMO...

Well, if we can somehow keep Garcia, find a third team to take on VC and get expirings back instead it looks like a good deal IMO.

Kings don't move any 2 of Garcia, Artest & Salmons in the same deal.

Garcia cannot be moved, not for a team trying to get young.

I have no interest in Carter however I would be interested in Kidd. Now that they've (Bibby/Artest/Martin) been back for 2 weeks the guy that is struggling the most is Bibby. A trade along the lines of Bibby/Garcia/Thomas for Kidd/Nachbar. I like Cisco but we have a glut of wing players and arent likely going to be able to resign him after next year. The Kings moving Thomas' contract a huge plus.

Kidd makes guys around him better. That could be scarey how good he could help Martin become. I think that Kidd would be able to keep Ron happy because he's not looking to score. He'd distribute to KMart and Ron.

I like the team as is for the remainder of the season..I don't see a potential deal out there that Geoff SHOULD consider. I say play it out, improve our current personnel, draft a stud PG in the 15-20 range with our pick, and look at potential deals in the off-season while RE-signing Ron Artest.

We can't resign Artest and keep everyone else.

I think Bibby has shown he's a better PG than Udrih since he's been back. Martin is already paid...Salmons is locked up. Miller is paid.

The only way we're keeping Ron is if SAR and Thomas are dealt for expirings.
