Tough loss for you guys. Our team didn't deserve to win with the way they were playing in the 4th quarter...

While there has been ups and downs for your team, your players have a lot of promising talent, and I think you'll have better luck next season.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

I don't want to, I just know that we can't afford to keep him.

How about we trade crazy for cockeyed, we send you McGrady, you send Ron-Ron.

It's really tough when you have to pass three teams and two of them are 8.5 ahead. I think you are better off developing the youngins and getting the best deal in return for Ron.

+1

unfortunately, Artest is our best player and the only player playing like he gives a damn.

Well it's been quite obvious for awhile now. The only question is whether Petrie realizes this or not. :-?

Yeah, but before the tough losses of Mem/Gsw and etc...I did TRULY believed we have a good shot of the playoffs we were closing in for being .500+ but now we are 5 games UNDER .500 all of the sudden... Damn... Artest is probably the only player that plays 100% heart and determination and gives a damn about making to the ****ing playoffs...

Not to knock Ron, I love his effort out there night in and night out, but don't forget this is a contract year for him.

I get it that trading Ron sucks since he's the guy busting his butt for you, but that's exactly *why* you might get something for him even though he's an expiring. LA and Phoenix have made moves, and maybe now Dallas as well. Maybe you can get something decent??

I suggested something along those lines in another thread, but you guys actually also get Bibby and take on Kenny for James, and T-Mac goes to a 3rd team (we have no use for him since we'll be rebuilding).

Last year wasn't, and he had a quality year individually (excluding the wife incident). Was one of the few consistent players on the team. Scored 39 points twice, and 30+ a number of other times.

But being in a contract year is probably a factor for him, but this is a common thing in general with players.

My own preference is not to go for Ron, but who knows what Mullin is thinking??? And Ron is a fantastic talent.
