As long as they are expiring contracts and not Speedy Claxton, I'm ok with it

Like I said in the Hawks forum, I never heard of the rumor...It could be interesting, indeed...

Apparently, it was discussed on Fox Sports Radio and presented as nearly a done deal.
Plus, the Hawks' beat writer mentioned a major shakeup. Since the Hawks would like have to send 4+ players the Kings' way, that would certainly qualify.

I don't think Jones can be traded. This deal doesn't sound too bad and would almost insure our ability to keep Beno!

That would be wonderful for the kings, but why would the hawks do this? They are not big time contenders in the east, and their nucleus is not complete yet. Sure, horford is a beast and johnson is a star, but Bibby wouldn't give them that "contender" status

i am confused though that if there is any merrit to this rumor as to why espn has not mentioned this as being a possibility they are usually all over these rumors if there is a possibility of a deal getting done !

I would do this deal too, but i'm pretty sure Petrie would want more than Williams

I don't. Expirings + Williams is a great deal for Bibby. Right now, I would take expirings straight up for Bibby.

The Hawks and Kings aren't sexy enough for ESPN to report a rumor especially while they still have Kidd to talk about and the LA-Phoenix game to promote.

Hopefully this happens so I could pick Udrih back up on my fantasy team.
I think this deal will happen if ESPN isnt reporting it. LOL

I'd definitely be into getting Shelden Williams. He's not going to have the right oppurtunity in Atlanta, and needs a consistent, set type of role and oppurtunity. I dig his game, and he has good size and toughness, that this team really needs more of up front. Which simply hasn't been there in a handful of years. Aside from Justin for a bunch of games over the last year. Which, obviously is what it's been (not nearly enough over-time).
Shelden got chosen too high in a weak draft, so that's not his fault. Generally, he'd be a mid-late 1st round pick. Not a high lottery pick. This can't be overlooked.
Salim Stoudamire? No room for him here, really, and is a very small SG that from what I've gathered isn't much defensively. Don't really know what would be going on with him with us. Is a decent scorer, though, and clutch.
I've always thought Bibby and Atlanta are a good fit, and I would be for this deal.

No I can see him going after Williams, but rather Marvin.
