Douby & LUE

Post#1 » by dozencousins » Wed Feb 20, 2008 5:47 am

is it just me or does anybody else feel that tyrone lue & quincy doubly are set to be traded now i see neither played tonight and i know phoenix and boston had interest in lue i see him being dealt for sure or else why would we have not played him at all and played anthony johnson only behind beno ?

as for douby he usually at least gets into the game for at least 5 minutes or so but neither played !

thoughts

maybe this is a sign of douby & miller to orlando who knows

It would be dumb to trade any of the young guys we drafted, Lue, i dont mind, but guys like Garcia,Douby,Williams and Hawes are just unmovable for a rebuilding team UNLESS someone offers up a young superstar, and that would never happen.

I'm not saying that nobody is being traded, but Lue won't get any playing time here anyway--he'll be our 3rd string PG behind Beno and AJ, and as we know it's not exactly uncommon for Douby to not play in a game.

And if it were indicative of Douby being dealt to Orlando, then I would guess that Brad wouldn't be playing either.

we just traded for lue as part of the bibby deal we did not draft him
and right now their is only a select few kings players that petrie wont trade and douby is not untradable!

everyones tradable for the right deal !

also in reguards to miller playing if the deal wasnt official yet orlando may have wanted another look at brad if not its easy to see we play him as usual as he is a starter until he gets traded !

I think Lue will be traded. He has no signs of an injury in his last game for the Hawks and even if he WAS injured..he had a few days over the All-Star break to heal.

Last game with the Hawks, Lue went 8 of 14 for 19 points. He doesn't seem like a player who would be stuck on the bench, IMO. Most likely, he was told by the Kings not to suit up because they will either waive him or trade him tomorrow.

If Lue doesn't get traded, then I could see him being waived before March 1st.

i know we didnt draft Lue or Williams, i meant is that people we drafted should stick around, and Williams too, Lue is the only young guy i would get rid of.

Lue got hurt in practice on Monday thats why he didnt play. But like stated before as a 3rd stringer he isnt gonna get much burn anyways.

Not on the Kings bud. We have Beno and Johnson ahead of him and Theus will probably play Douby at the PG before he lest Lues sorry butt get in the game. Come to think of it I think he was 3rd string behind Johnson and Law in ATL.

your wrong lue didnt play because he is getting dealt thats why johnson played before him otherwise lue would have been the back up

what you see on the outside in the trade season is not always reality many players get pulled from playing because they get dealt and others like lue who was dealt to us wont even step on the court and get playing time for us if they will get shipped off again elsewhere to protect a possible fluke injury !

watch us trade lue and you will see

^

Ya Johnson wasn't average 26 mpg game in Atlanta and Lue wasn't averaging 17mpg. Lue was totally ahead of him in the depth chart this year.

Actually no. Lue started a handful of games, then AJ took over later in the year. Law was always 3rd string. In Lue's last game with the Hawks, he went off for 19 points in 38 minutes. He's a decent backup PG, and I doubt he got "hurt" in practice. They (the players from Atlanta) weren't ALLOWED to practice until Tuesday, so I'm not sure where you are getting this "Monday practice" from?

3 games is not a handful of games

Law started 6 games. Law and Lue have played the same 17 mpg this year.

Johnson started 33 games this year at 26 mpg. Get your facts straight
