Denver is offering: Najera, Smith, and holding out on Kleiza, but lets say they give in...

Houston is offering: Unknown fillers (Francis, Novak, Snyder most likely) and the one they holding out on is Aaron Brooks and they give in as well...

So the question is which offer would you rather have? And a side note quesiton is which offer is better if the held out player is not included?

I dont like either offer honestly. If we cant dump Thomas with Artest I'd rather keep him if thats the type of package we'd get.

Unless KT's going with Ron, neither deal.

Also I actually wouldn't prefer to do either deal with Ron alone, but would be okay with either if they happened. Not that thrilled with either, though. As unless we move a bench wing-player from the current roster, I don't see where Brooks and Kleiza fit in. Either would create a bit of a log-jam, thus somebody's going to have limited minutes until somebody is dealt or not re-sgined.

What about the Spurs offer of Barry + Elson + Mahinmi + 1st round pick

Was talked about by David Aldridge (there is a video up on nba.com)... neither team wants to give up too much till Artest agrees to extension with the team and not opt out.

Splitter is a tough one. Spurs fans have high hopes for him as he's dominating the euro league right now, and if we get Artest who's to say he doesn't opt out next season and we lose all 4 players for nothing. If Ron signed an extention then i'd probably consider Splitter in, even though it pains me to say.

Personally I think the Spurs will more than likely stay put, if anything they'll try to acquire Kurt Thomas and re-sign him for cheap.

If the Kings give him away for expirings+1st I think the Spurs will do it but they really do view Splitter as the next Duncan-mate inside.

The whole we don't have a PF next to Duncan thing I think is starting to get a little ridiculous. Oberto? Comon now...

Oberto's not a PF. He's also a very effective role player for what he can do on both ends of the floor.

I think Brad Miller is a better fit for the Spurs than Ron Artest
