they have 15M in expirings.
If Artest is going to the spurs, they better take Kenny Thomas!
I don't even care about the draft pick.

if they dont take Kenny Thomas I'd do Barry,Elson,Splitter+ a 1st or take Spliiter out for an 08 and 2010 first.

Splitter > 1st round pick by the Spurs. You get his rights from the Spurs as the BASE of any negotiations.

At this point, I might forgo everything else if we could get just expirings if the Spurs take Kenny with Artest.

I hope a deal happens, we'd get a decent deal, regardless.

I actually would like what SA can offer better than Denver, and is more realistic and seemingly (going by web reports) much more serious than the Denver stuff.

Plus, there is no other place I'd rather see Ron go to :). From my stand-point as a fan, and for Ron's stand-point. Overall the superior team of any in the league. Not only for this season, but beyond.

I'd be ecstastic. Be a dream come true, like it was with us.

I also wouldn't be that surprised if nothing happens, as there could be a snag or two.

I agree that we get a good deal out of that and a good deal for your spurs as well :D

I cant imagine the defense that they would have, Bowen and Artest on the perimeter while Timmy waiting underneath...scary...I almost forgot and kenny pouting on the sideline.

It is way too hard to get rid of kenny with artest... unless artest says he'll resign for less money or something ridiculous that he'll never say.

From what i just heard it seems like ron will stay a king and Petrie wont trade him. Smills should know this.

Looks like Ballings prediction was right.

The Spurs may be nearing a deal for Artest, although it's also believed Denver may finally be willing to give up Linas Kleiza. Of course, my flight from Portland to Sacramento is at this very moment, so we'll see where things stand when I land.

I don't know, I really don't see Petrie taking daft picks from SA, they're not all that hot, and I don't see the Spurs taking on KT.

No they didn't. I saw the show, and that's just some columnist's prediction. LZ Granderson. He didn't base his prediction on anything but that because we gave up Bibby we'll give up Ron. He didn't even delve into dealings.

Not that simple.

Ron going to Denver isn't that great anyways. He doesn't make them a contender.
