According to a source, the Cavaliers were close to acquiring Mike Bibby in a package that would have sent Drew Gooden, Ira Newble and Shannon Brown to Sacramento.

The Kings decided to turn their attention strictly to expiring contracts.

I agree, just wish we got a 1st in '09 instead of a 2nd.

Damn, I almost wonder if the Cavs are still offering us their crap for Mike even though he's on another team already.

The Hawks couldn't have traded their 09 first even if they wanted to.

Whats wrong with that deal? Both Shannon Brown and Ira Newble are expiring contracts. The only difference is Drew Gooden vs Shelden Williams.

Shelden Williams at 1 million vs. Drew Gooden at 7 million...that's a no brainer. Gooden is what he is, Williams could be more, he could be less, but we gain 6 million in additional cap flexibility.

Had you been willing to take Kenny Thomas for Eric Snow then I bet Petrie would have bit.
