What is going on with Ty? Is he injured, is he dressing or is he waiting to be waived?

He got injured (calf) in his first practice with the Kings and is still recovering. He probably won't have much involvement with the team until after the road trip is over (my guess).

Kings are in the process of buying out Lue. I'm glad it's Lue for one reason. He's not going to get to wear #10 on the court. I dont think #10 will be retired, but I dont want see a scrub taking Mike's number after he was just traded.
On another note. I hope we'll pick Justin Williams back up with the free roster space.

Okay with Lue outta the picture, go pick up Justin Williams before another team does.

Yeah, this frees up a roster spot. It is very ideal to pick up Justin Williams...

I seriously doubt the roster spot gets refilled. This move just drops us to 14, which is the CBA minimum. This is the level Petrie has typically kept the roster at in the past and I can't think of any reason why he would change his ways now. Also, I doubt he or the Maloofs would really be eager to add more salary just because there is now an open roster spot.

Not surprised. He'll help Denver out.

Wouldn't say Tyronn Lue's a scrub because he's been an effective player in the league (injuries have kinda hurt him recently) for several years. Won two titles with the Lakers as a bench player (moreso in 01, though), averaged double-figure scoring 4 times, has proved to be a decent defender, and can play effectively late in the game. Also was #7/#2 in 3P FG% in 01-02 and 05-06, respectively.
"Scrubs" are typically players who just can't play, don't have it, or not in the league.
Considering Denver's going to sign him for their rotation (maybe starting line-up), that also shows Lue's not a scrub. They could use him too. Overall he's an upgrade on either of their PGs now, and brings things they could use more of.
In the way of taking Mike's number and comparing to Bibby, he's just not as good a player. That doesn't make him a scrub, though. If he was a scrub he wouldn't be in the league as a rotation player.

I figured that Lue was gone as soon as he could be waived. The thing I'm wondering about is whydon't they just dump Wright as well? He'll never play here - might as well get rid of him and bring back Justin.

Simple answer is money. They still have to pay Wright's salary even if they waive him (or buy him out). Getting rid of him won't save money and dumping him and resigning Justin will only add more salary. It's out of character for Petrie and the Maloofs to add salary if they don't have to. I also get the impression that they would rather concentrate on developing Shelden Williams to fill the role that Justin could have filled.

Okay Rugged Ron Ron and Dustin. Obviously a difference of standards and amount of material, so we agree to disagree.

Actually turns out to be Dallas. Where he'll be the back-up PG.
