What teams can realistically trade for Brad Miller next year

I think the Raptors or Bobcats have the pieces to get him(with the Cats being under the cap and able to absorb salary). IMO Petrie will try to move him to clear cap space by the end of next season instead of 09-10. I think he'll be moved for expirings and a pick either this offseason or by next years trading deadline. Are there any other teams that you could see making a run at Miller? Maybe we just trade him for expirings w/o a pick but package him with one of Thomas/Moore/SAR which would give us even more cap space.

I think Toronto. Doesn't bring the impactful interior defense they need, but overall, he'd be quite a fit with them and their system.

I think the Bobcats will likely keep Nazr. He's been a good pick-up for them as a consistent veteran on both ends of the court, just the kind of experienced big man they needed. Specifically, his jumpshot is noticably better than I originally knew (with the Knicks and Spurs). Also they have Ryan Hollins who's coming along slowly, and Sean May.

^True but if the Bobcats want to become a top team in the east Nazr wont cut it. Miller/Okafor/Wallace/Jrich/Felton is a pretty good team(and it sounds like they dont want to play Wallace at PF anymore, then again Okafor did complain when the Cats paired him with another big), if they can make some additions to their bench or if Morrison and May are healthy they could be right there with the Celtics/Pistons.

The Bobcats could use brad, but i think they should go after pure PG LIKE jamal tinsley or tj ford or jose colderon.

back on topic, the Orlando magic are a great fit for brad.

Yeah, somebody will have to go or not be played much then.

A little confused on offseason trading with the deadline and stuff.

When will the first time we can trade Miller be? Before or after current players expire?

Because, if players all expire, Orlando is out of the picture because they cannot trade us anyone that they are willing to give up and we want (unless a s&t of their current players for 1 year is invovled).

Toronto is possible, but it will most likely be the same package as before, something everyone on these boards shot down in a heartbeat.

Bobcats won't have anymore cap space once you factor in Carrol and Okafor's deals

I don't think Miller's a fit to go anywhere, But my swami-like senses have him landing in Indiana.

Orlando's expirings will just come off the books at the end of the season. I dont see the Magic as a possibility for Miller at all though, the chance of that happening was over the trade deadline.

And I dont know why Indy would want Miller. They're a rebuilding team, I only see Miller going to contenders/playoff teams to push them over the top.

I don't know why any team would want Miller. Honestly I think Phoenix would be a good fit for him, but they went and got Shaq.

Okafor's new contract (or his ~$15M caphold as long as he remains unsigned with the Bobcats) will prevent the Charlotte from having the cap space to simply swallow Miller's contract unless they give the Kings back salary in return.

his contract is too high for Charlotte. Toronto would be an interesting fit. Charlotte couldn't afford him. I always thought the Hawks would be a good fit. I'm not sure they would trade for him after taking on Bibbys' contract.

We can trade Brad as soon as the regular season is over, but only to other non-playoff teams. Otherwise, we have to wait for teams to get booted from the playoffs. And no, we can't trade for players that expire this year because as soon as the year is over, they are no longer under contract.

I think Toronto (Rasho) would be a likely destination, but I also think Miller would be a nice addition to Atlanta. He already works well with Bibby, and the Hawks need a veteran center to play alongside Horford and Smith.

I can concoct a certain deal that would save the Kings $8.5M+, but it includes Speedy Claxton. If the Kings can't get an expiring for Miller (which I think they can), they might consider it.

Chicago might be another option.

I'd be willing to do a
Miller for Rasho + Garbageosa + 08 1st

Allows kings's to potentially draft both a PF(Athur/Randolph/Blake/Love/Hendrix)
and a PG (Augustine/Lawyson/Collison)

Or if say the Kings have the 10th pick, and the Rap's have the 18th, we could trade up
