Must be true, if it's a rumor you read on Hoopshype.

Hey A-rod you made our game thread on the raps board and we won, so you gotta make it again, but or it's bad mojo. And you did a bang up job, too. We already gotta face the lake show, we can't afford bad vibes, we got bad reboundin' to deal with.

If you look at his salary and what he has done this season (relaxing) would you turn that money down? I guess not.....

If Kenny Thomas actually opts out....nevermind we think he's an idiot because the way he behaves...not his mental capacity. I just don't understand why the Kings just don't let him retire then? He still gets paid and gets to stay at home. He's in the way if he's not going to play. Why not make it official? My question is what is the advantage of having him around?

His presence gives us this energy and looking at his face gives us hope....Hope that we might not make the same mistake again :noway:

I don't know, I don't think the idea of KT exercising his ETO is too far fetched. Yes he will walk a way from a hell of a lot of money. But walking away would give him the opportunity to get back on the floor with some team; an opportunity to try to earn a contract that will pay him past 2010. He and his agent will really need to think hard about what is more important.

It could also be possible for Petrie to negotiate with KT to work a S&T if he agrees to exercise his ETO...kind of buy out negotiation with a twist. Kenny still has talent and has been working with a private shooting coach in an attempt to improve his shooting game. I'm sure that there are some teams that would have an interest in him...just not at his current price tag.

I don't know, maybe I'm being too optimistic.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Yeah, you are. haha.

This summer will be a last ditch effort to move him with someone, maybe with Ron, and if not I think we buy him out.

Maybe KT would opt out if the Maloof's made a deal with him under the table that they'd pay the difference between his next contract and what he was owed for the remainer of this one, that way it would be off the cap.

Seriously though, I think there's a chance (a small one, but a chance) that he might opt out, because he wants to play and knows that he won't see much if any playing time on the Kings for the reminder of his contract.

seriously why is The NBA is against that ? it helps teams in terms of flexibility.

Because then every team would do that with every bad contract. It's cheap.
