My Take on Raptors: the raptors are so much fun to watch, their the most fundamentally sound team in the nba(on offense), defense is another story very ugly story, they need a guy like ron artest on defense. how about artest for CalderonPreview:The Toronto Raptors have gotten off to a horrible start to their five-game road trip, and it may not get any easier as it continues in a venue where they have not won in more than a decade.
The Raptors look to avoid dropping their fourth straight game on the trip and end a nine-game losing streak in Sacramento as they visit the Kings Sunday.
Toronto (34-31) finished February with the fourth-best road record in the Eastern Conference at 14-13, but this month has been a disaster away from the Air Canada Centre. The Raptors are just 1-5 on the road in March, and have been outscored by an average of 15.8 points in those losses.

Great thread. It's really too bad this same thread isn't on the Raptors board, not taking anything away from the thread creator over there, but this must have taken some effort!
I love the global league picture. Definitely two of the more international franchises this league has had. Although the Raptors have definitely taken the lead in that department since the Vlade, Peja, Hedo days in Sacramento.
I have no idea how this game will go down. The Raptors have been awful lately but I still see this as the only winnable game on the road trip. Let's just hope it's an entertaining game regardless of the result.
Good work!

lol don't even bother with the trash talk, as long as bosh isn't in the lineup this is a easy win for the kings.

You do realize that we have lost to the Heat, T-pups and Clipps in recent weeks and we're coming off of a thorough pounding by the Suns last night? There is no such thing as a guaranteed or easy win for the Kings.

Logic says kings win, but you should always believe in your favorite team, Logic and common sense should disappear when it comes to your favorite team.
Ps i love your sig, and The trash talk was a joke.

Another great thread and good start for the game this evening.
I'm thinking good games tonight for Martin and Artest. Martin is due to bust another 30-40 point game and Artest always gets it done somehow. BTW, Artest with 2 games in a row with 5 steals. After a bucket is scored , others are running to get back and play checkers. Artest has already got someone set up for a steal, playing chess.
Also, thinking better of what i'm seeing from Moore. he's looking for offence early lately and continues to progress with his "hands", catching the ball, working hard in general. I'm hoping someone can step up to really earn this PF position, remains to be seen, but in the mean time, i'll give Moore some credit where it is due. He's playing better than before.

Ron had 6 steals against the Trails, actually
I'd be surprised by a loss here. A win is probable, at least.

Thanks, you're right i should have checked first.
Steals, IMO, a very underated stat. For every steal, You not only give your team additional opertunities to score, you're taking away the same attempts your opponent may have. They can be game breakers.

Oh no doubt about that. On the other hand Rasho has been one of the few bright spots on this team since Bosh has been out. If you look at what 8 million gets you at the C position in this league now Rasho is actually decent value. It's a sad fact, I know.

I understand where your coming from but we are 2-7 (two wins coming against heat & sonics) since bosh has gone down with the injury. And in his absence the team is showcasing the worst performance throughout the season. As per getting pounded, we got smashed by 32 pts in our previous game with the Nuggets.
But i agree with you, there is never a guaranteed win and the team needs to earn it and stay in the flow till the final buzzer goes off in the 4th quarter. That being said, it should be a good game to watch ... good luck and have fun.

I agree with you, but then again if i didn't care i wouldn't be here. Thanks for the sig compliment ... hope the dude has couple of fights still in him.

Ok, that's twice tonight that Ron has brought the ball up when he didn't need to...and it ended badly. Give the ball to Beno, that's his job.

^^Don't like the 3 dumb turnovers he's had so far, but I'm otherwise happy with him tonight.
I hope he spends time this summer working on ball control. It gets frustrating watching him dribble off his foot or just let the ball fly out of bounds as it slips out of his hands.
