I'll never forget watching Chris Webber in his prime. A true dominant force. He was Hall of Fame bound had he not gone down in 2003. Give it up for C-Webb.

He probably should have retired a while ago.

Chris Webber was my all-time favorite player. I watched him in the 4th grade play for the Warriors, which so happens to be my team. I remember wearing his Nike shoes he had out as a rookie.

Things didn't work out and I remember loving him as a Bullet. They were an up and coming team that didn't make the right decisions and ultimately traded him to the Kings for an aging Mitch Richmond

His career was in question when he arrived in Sac. I remember almost every Kings game from 98-04 and watching some of the best basketball I've seen in my lifetime and while there are no championship banners in Arco the memories alone are worth even more.

In 02 the Lakers were just a team of destiny, but I think the following year was even more of a heartbreaker. The team with Keon Clark and Jim Jackson. To me that team was more mature and geared towards winning a championship. But then Webber blew his knee out and things would never quite be the same.

I remember having a half smile on my face when Webber went off as a King on the Warriors, dunking on Dampier and giving that famous scowl to the fans in Oakland. They were booing him (So were a lot of Kings fans at the time.) so bad and he was giving it back to them. It was great.

The Kings traded Chris Webber for garbage. I remember arguing with people saying that the Kings would be stuck with Kenny long after Webber's contract would expire. I know a lot on this board felt the same way.

I followed him to the 76ers where he was crucified by fans with too high of expectations. He actually played decent his 1st year there, but it seemed like he didn't quite fit in there.

He had his best post injury year with the Pistons IMO. He looked good in Detroit.

I was extremely excited when he decided to once again suit up as a Warrior. I was at his debut game against Chicago and the highlights they showed of him as a rookie with the music Carmina Burana O Fortuna gave me goosebumps.

Chris Webber in his prime would have fit in perfect in the Warrior system.

He was one of the best Kings of All-Time, second to Mitch Richmond. Its to bad injuries held him back from becoming even greater of a player than he already was.He had his downfalls but the good in Chris out-weighed the bad. Hopefully his jersey will be the next one up in the rafters of Arco!

Yeah, thanks for the memories Chris Webber. I always like your demeanor in the court. Made the game fun. You were a special talent. You helped this franchise alot, you made this perennial bottom feeder to an ELITE team for years... The pick and roll combo with Bibby was deadly and very entertaining to see. Your passing abilities took my breath away at times *sighs* Your charisma and leadership cannot be replaced. I hope to see your jersey retire in Arco....

C-Webb had a high-level career, and is one of my favorites of all-time...

I really would of liked to see him go to the Celtics or Pistons, basically guaranteed finals appearance and serious chance at a ring.

I need (and can) to get some more games of him as a King eventually.

Chris was way better than Mitch dude.

Anyway I would just like to say that Chris was my favorite player ever and the best Sac era King ever. He really made the game fun to watch and we should've won a couple titles but things didn't work out like they should've. I still think all his years here were worth it and he should be a HOF player. I remember when he was traded I was pissed as hell. I wish he was still a King but congrats on a great career C-Webb

I always liked Chris, except maybe at times when he was injured. Thought that he was misunderstood by many and had a lingering undeserved reputation. Great talent, well spoken, and a very high BB IQ. I also always looked forward to his canny perspetive during post game interviews. His time to retire has come, none too soon.

Alot of people seem to be hating on the guy , i dont get it ?

I'm not a kings fan but I couldn't help but root for the kings in their glory days. C-Webb definitely had some great years as a King and while the Kings came slightly short of a title a couple of times, they were always a very entertaining team to watch. The C-Webb Kings are definitely one of the best all-around teams in NBA history.

For some reason, Chris has just really been a guy throughout his career that many people love to hate. I've encountered many people like this on RealGM.

People hated Webber when he was here! I remember one game when one game we were down one in a close game and Webb had the ball. The crowd (in Arco) was screaming don't shoot. He made the shot and you could read the expletives come out his mouth.

Webber was a guy who one minute was as polished as can be with the media, fans and organization. The next week he's getting caught smoking weed. The week after that he says something like "If I get a speeding ticket Sacramento might lose a citizen." One minute he comes off as a true professional and the next a spoiled baby! Most athletes do, but as talented as Webber was he's just had too many other things happen to look the other way.

This is coming from a HUGE Webber supporter. I'll defend his play to death, but Webber as a person showed two sides so it was hard to identify with him.

Have to disagree with you on that one. Both were very good players. Mitch did a lot more with less, and if you put C-Webb on the Kings with the surrounding pieces that Mitch was dealt, Chris wouldn't have been able to take them as far as Mitch did, which wasn't far anyways.

I like C-Web more than I like Mitch, but if I go by best Kings players of All-Time, its Mitch, then Chris. Sorry BMiller..

lol Sorry but big men impact the game way more than guards do. Chris could've done more than Mitch IMO. He was a better all around player. He was a better rebounder, passer, shotblocker, post player, etc. Mitch isn't close. The only time we even became a good team is when they dumped Mitch for Chris.

Webber was able to push every team he played with to the playoffs. You can say the same for Mitch.

One point i thought interesting gotten from Mike and Mike on yeaterday's morning show;

Adding up rebounds, points, and assists. Webber= 7th all time. Not gonna stand by this as it's a stunning stat in the big picture, but that is what they said/reported.

What was their opinion if Webber should make the hall of fame? No and NO! i disagree, but it's not a battle worth the argument.
