Free agent money?
I'm not sure about the rules money wise. With Anthony johnson, lorenzen wright, and beno's contracts up after the season and add in the mid level exeption does that give us money this offseason to go for a guy like Brand?

Not if we draft Collison or Augustin.

really, rose would be the only player worth getting, the others would be solid starters in the NBA at best, possibly one all-star or two. Rose is a full-fledged superstar coming in, CP3 kind of talent, so drafting a PG would be a waste, cause Beno would be better in the next 5 years when those guys would be developing. We need a Kevin Love or big PF kind of guy. I know Love goes down as a Center, but he will Play PF in the NBA. so talk crap all you want, he plays like a four.
Back to my point, we need a big, preferably a four. Case closed. (Rose excluded)

Collison or Augustin are not good enough to come in and start. Its clear the organization wants to win, (or at least try to), DJ or Collison as a starting rookie pg = 20 win team.
I dont know if Darren can come in and start but I strongly believe that DJ can and will be a good PG in the NBA. I think he will have an impact on this team like Deron Williams had an impact in Utah. He like Deron has great leadership skills and has a very similar game to Deron. I would be surprised if he was still available when it is the Kings turn to draft at around 11th or 12th this year, and I would love to be surprised!

Deron Williams is like 4 inches taller than DJ... he reminds me of a poor man's CP3 more actually.

I'm of the opinion that the best thing in the draft that the Kings can legitimently get (besides getting lucky and perhaps DeAndre Jordan) is to draft Agustine. BUT that does not mean I'm opposed to keeping Beno for a year or two. I do not think he is the PG of the future for us which is why I think getting a floor general like Agustine is vital, but having Beno for two years at MLE would be a great thing for Agustine to learn under before he takes the reigns.
No...
We must take:

Man I agree we need a big. I really like Dorsey, as a Senior he is NBA ready and I just like his game. I havent seen where he is projected in mock drafts but it seems more realistic he would be available at 10-12 than any of the guards discussed. I mean with a .7 chance of getting into the top 2 I think its a waste of time to discuss DJ, Rose, etc. Also I hear Love is going to stay 1 more year and go for the title.

well, i've only seen a few texas games and wasn't tremendously impressed with DJ, but i'm sure i don't have enough information to speak about him...
however, if he really is as good as everyone is saying, there is no way he slips to the kings.
but regardless, i'd bet anything, kings use their mle on beno and not anyone else

Maybe with our second rounder.
