Nathan Jawai C, Cairns Taipans
This is the only player confirmed to have worked out with the Sacramento Kings.

I don't think he's worked out yet, but he is scheduled. He may be a decent 2nd round target.

I like other big men more than Jawai for 2nd round-range guys...

I have seen him vids before. He is certainly skilled. Could be an interesting 2nd round pick.
I am really, really hoping for any of Richard Hendrix, James Gist, DeVon Hardin, JR Giddens, Marcus Dove, Bill Walker, Joey Dorsey, or Davon Jefferson (who seems to have slipped). Out of those most likely to be there I would take Gist and Giddens.

According to DraftExpress, the following guys worked out yesterday:
Aaron Bruce...6-3 combo guard from Baylor, currently projected undrafted
James Gist...6-8 PF from Maryland, projected late 2nd round
Pat Calathes...6-10 SF from St. Josephs, projected mid 2nd round
J.J. Hickson...6-9 PF from NC State, projected 1st/2nd bubble

I do like what I've read about Gist and Hickson... Hickson is a traditional-sized and style PF
I expect to see us work-out 2 or 3 of these guys: Hendrix, Hardin, White, Dem. Nelson.
Don't think we'll be able to get Dorsey

I don't know, depends on how much the measurements hurt his stock. He was listed at 6'10" for awhile in college so coming out at 6'6"-6'7" had to be a shocker to quite a few GMs. I would also look for us to maybe trade up in the 2nd or trade our 2nds for a late 1st if the Kings want someone specific and another team doesn't want the guaranteed salary for next year.

Yeah, but I don't think they can overlook his mass, athleticism, wing-span, and mentality. Which will make up for being under-sized height-wise. And if they had prior material on him during the season, they should know about him being under-sized already, anyway.
I don't think it should hurt him.
That would be great to trade up.

Gist sounds like Brandon Bass, seems interesting.

These are guys I would like to try and grab with our 2 2nd round picks.
Devon Hardin
James Gist
JJ Hickson
Bill Walker
Richard Hendrix

A great draft would look like one of these:
12. DJ Augustin
42. Devon Hardin
43. James Gist
or
12. Darrel Arthur
42. Bill Walker
43. Courtney Lee
Something like this would work for me..

Couldn't be any more different in most ways though. Both do like to throw down some harsh dunks, that's for sure.
Bass is pretty bulky, Gist is Mikki Moore thin. Size wise he is somewhat similar to Darius Miles. Physical player but won't be able to use his body mass like a Bass type of player can. GIst has shown flashes of a decent face up game which could allow him to play the SF for significant minutes in the NBA. If I had to compare him to someone it would be Amir Johnson. A player where you really don't know where the heck they fit, but they for sure fit in somewhere.

I would be satisfied with both scenarios. I wouldn't be satisfied with one where we pick Augustin or Westbrook and get none of James Gist, DeVon Hardin, Richard Hendrix, DJ White, Joey Dorsey, or Bill Walker in the 2nd round.

Great draft would look like
12. Derrick Rose
42. DeAndre Jordan
43. Michael Beasley
However, I'd be satisfied with,
12. Russel Wesbrook/DJ Augustin/Speights
42. Richard Hendrix
43. Bill Walker.
Actually, great draft would be
12. Russell Westbrook
17. Maureese Speights/JaVale McGee/Darrel Arthur
42. Bill Walker
43. Joey Dorsey/DeVon Hardin/Richard Hendrix
Perfect draft would add a pick in the 20-30 range, and snag Serge Ibaka.

I think you guys are being a little too optimistic. The only guys that are being talked about that have a good shot of falling to 42/43 are Gist and maybe Dorsey.

Agreed. And Bill Walker is a crazy talent, he goes top 25 IMO for sure.
I do like Gist a lot though, and Dorsey in that area would be a steal.

Sam Amick listed a few more names of guys expected to be in soon in his blog today:
DJ Augustin (unknown date).
Mike Taylor, a 22-year-old point guard who played in the D-League last season.
Joe Alexander, SF from WV.
The staff also has attended a group workout for DeAndre Jordan; unkown if they will schedule a private workout.

I love Joe Alexander's game

Good to see that we're starting to look at some possibilities for #12. I'll be really interested to see if Geoff schedules a private workout with Jordan.
Also...
Similar to last year, where the Houston Rockets organized a massive two-day, 36 player workout attended by 12 teams in Orlando, this year the Phoenix Suns

I wouldn't be shocked at all if we took Alexander. I think he is going to KILL in workouts with his ability to finish at the rim and shoot out to the NBA 3 point line. But man, this guy is the most perimeter oriented player in the draft. Actually pretty one dimensional on the offensive end when I think about it. AK-47 type of player with less creative passing ability and a much better mid-range stroke.
