Los Angeles Lakers: Where only when refs are on your side you can bring home championships happens.

Kings were CLEARLY the better team that year.

Interesting, you have some ideas you would like to bounce off Brian Sabean? That's strange, I have some objects I would like to bounce off Brian Sabean.

This makes me so angry. I remember watching that game and seeing such bad calls being made against the Kings. I really feel for you guys and unfortunately your not the only team to get screwed by the Lakers every year in the playoffs.

but is this any surprise is the real question???

How is it that in the lakers celtics series on now that the celtics have shot way more free throws than the lakers in boston...but tonight and for the all the games at L.A. the lakers will shoot more free throws than boston. Mark my words it will happen. Is it that the away team fouls more on the road? Doubt it...the nba has been fixed for years.

Wow. What can you say?

This is awful for you guys, and awful for everyone else as well. I just imagine Kings fans watching that series and rooting for their team, which had the actual league office working against them.

This is a disgrace if true (hard to believe it's not). It just puts a taint on everything.

If this is true, Im COMPLETELY speechless. We should have a championship rally in downtown 6 years ago. Webber/Bibby should be holding the title high in the Sacramento afternoon skies...

Can't know for sure, but, I think the Laker series is it as a serious possibility.

Im no King fan but a California native and I watched the majority of the Kings season that year including the WCF and I was speechless with the BS calls. And when you guys should have won, I think you guys would have taken out the Nets also.

Maybe there should be a penalty where the Lakers give you guys 6 years worth of 1st round picks.

I'm a pacers fan. Kings should have won in 2002, and we should have won in the finals when the refs refused to call illegal defense on Shaq.

if you remember, we had Sam Perkins. He sat on the 3 point line pointing at Shaq to the refs, and Shaq sat in the paint. no calls.

bull. We both get the title.

I'm a Lakers fan, but I feel robbed. So much for the integrity of the league. I don't even know what to feel right now. The NBA has lost all of its credibility and this year definitely doesn't help them.

**** the NBA. MLB/NFL has steroids... what's the only legit sport out there? :(

We all feel robbed. It's total bs that small market teams can't just have the best team.

That series finals was total bs from the illegal defense non-calls.

I remember that series. I also remember when portland were up by 20 in the fourth to the lakers and suddenly the lakers got every call and come back and won Shaq and Kobes first championship. I remember Utah Playing Jordan in what was supposed to be his last year. Utah couldnt get a call.

I am a Jazz fan, This year the Lakers got about double the freethows in every game against Utah. Ask the spurs how they felt this year. The Laker vs Celtic match up was predetermined.

Sacramento is my 2002 champions.

What to do about it. I am writing a letter to Larry Miller (the owner of the Utah Jazz). I will address it to the Utah Jazz and hope it gets read. I dont expect an answer and will inform you if i get one. I am sending a copy of the espn donaghy info. I am asking if the nba is rigged, and why I should keep supporting the NBA if a small market team has a big disadvantage. I think you all should do the same to the Maloofs. They are the people that can do something about it. I may even send a letter to MarK Cuban since I know his mavs were hosed in the finals.

http://www.dissidentvoice.org/Articles/ ... derNBA.htm

read this article...its old but it cites Ralph Nader debating the officiating. RALPH NADER! That is crazy...hes a consumer rights activist. Also cites michael wilbon. May not be the best source, but the info is correct.
