Retirement is a strong possibility for Kings' forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim as his 31-year-old body begins to wear down, according to Sacramento Bee.
Abdur-Rahim's troublesome right knee could prevent him from taking part in October's training camp, which could mean retirement and an early start to a coaching career.
The Sacramento forward said his physical progress remains "slow," and that he's "going to sit down and focus on that when I get back."
He's currently on an 11-day trip to Africa that will conclude on Monday.
Abdur-Rahim averaged just 1.7 points and 1.7 rebounds in six games for the Kings in 2007-08.
